Hotels at Tokyo Disney Resort: 6 Compared, With Happy Entry
Two of the hotels also give early entry to Tokyo DisneySea. So the choice comes down to which park you want first, how you get around, and how much you pay up front.
Attractions start when the park opens for everyone else. Use the early minutes to reach the area you want, then buy Disney Premier Access or get a Standby Pass in the app.

The 6 Tokyo Disney hotels compared
The Tokyo Disney Resort Disney Hotels page sorts the 6 hotels into four types: luxury, deluxe, moderate and value. The type sets your deposit. The table below lists each hotel with its type, its nearest station or shuttle, and its check-out time.
| Hotel | Type | Station or shuttle | Check-out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fantasy Springs Hotel: Grand Chateau | Luxury | Bayside Station | 12:00 noon |
| Fantasy Springs Hotel: Fantasy Chateau | Deluxe | Bayside Station | 12:00 noon |
| Tokyo Disneyland Hotel | Deluxe | Tokyo Disneyland Station | 12:00 noon |
| Disney Ambassador Hotel | Deluxe | Free shuttle bus to both parks | 12:00 noon |
| Hotel MiraCosta | Deluxe | Tokyo DisneySea Station | 12:00 noon |
| Toy Story Hotel | Moderate | Bayside Station | 12:00 noon |
| Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel | Value | Free shuttle bus, about 20 min | 11:00 a.m. |
Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel opened in June 2024 inside Fantasy Springs, the eighth themed port of Tokyo DisneySea. It has two buildings. Grand Chateau is the luxury type, billed as the finest accommodation at the resort. Fantasy Chateau is the deluxe type, decorated with the plants and animals of Fantasy Springs.
Tokyo Disneyland Hotel stands right in front of Tokyo Disneyland. Disney Ambassador Hotel has rooms themed to Fantasia and to characters such as Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck. It also has a restaurant where you can meet characters. Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta is built into Tokyo DisneySea itself, and some rooms look over the harbor.

The photo shows the outside of Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, the deluxe hotel right in front of Tokyo Disneyland. Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel is the moderate type. Its outside walls, entrance and lobby recreate the toy world of the Toy Story films. Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel is the value type, with room artwork based on Disney friends and park attractions.
Two hotels are closed to anyone who is not staying there. The Tokyo Disney Resort Fantasy Springs Hotel page says only Fantasy Springs Hotel guests may enter the hotel and its grounds until further notice. The same rule applies at Toy Story Hotel, including its restaurants and shops. If you want to see the lobby of either hotel, you need a room.
Fantasy Springs Hotel guests also get their own way into the park. During the stay they can walk into Fantasy Springs through an exclusive entrance, but they still need a Park ticket. Toy Story Hotel guests can use the Fantasy Springs Entrance too, from 10:00 a.m. Our guide to Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea covers the rides and restaurants in that area.
Stations and shuttles, from Tokyo Disneyland Hotel to Celebration
The Disney Resort Line is a monorail that circles the resort. It links JR Maihama Station with the parks and hotels, and it loops its four stations in about 13 minutes. Trains run from 6:03 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and the first and last trains of the day leave from Resort Gateway Station.
Each station serves different hotels:
- Resort Gateway Station: the closest station to JR Maihama Station. Turn left out of the South Exit.
- Tokyo Disneyland Station: in front of the Tokyo Disneyland Main Entrance and closest to Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.
- Bayside Station: closest to Fantasy Springs Hotel, Toy Story Hotel and the Official Hotels.
- Tokyo DisneySea Station: in front of the Tokyo DisneySea Main Entrance and closest to Hotel MiraCosta.
Disney Ambassador Hotel and Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel run free shuttle buses for guests instead. The Celebration Hotel bus takes about 20 minutes to each park, so allow for it before Happy Entry.
Disney hotel guests do not get a free monorail pass. You pay the normal fare like any other visitor. A single ticket covers up to one full loop. It costs 300 yen for adults aged 12 and over and 150 yen for children aged 11 and under.

| Item | Value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Single ticket | 300 yen | Up to one full loop |
| 1-Day Pass | 700 yen | |
| 2-Day Pass | 900 yen | |
| 3-Day Pass | 1200 yen | |
| 4-Day Pass | 1500 yen |
The chart compares the adult fares. Three rides in a day already cost more than the 1-Day Pass at 700 yen. The 2-Day Pass is 900 yen, the 3-Day Pass is 1,200 yen and the 4-Day Pass is 1,500 yen. Children pay half: 350, 450, 600 and 750 yen. Up to two children under 6 ride free with each paying adult.

The photo shows a platform at Tokyo DisneySea Station on the Disney Resort Line. You can buy tickets and Day Passes from the machines in every station. Credit cards work at the ticket center at Resort Gateway Station. The monorail also takes 10 IC cards: Kitaca, PASMO, Suica, manaca, TOICA, PiTaPa, ICOCA, HAYAKAKEN, nimoca and SUGOCA. A Suica card bought at the airport works here.
There is no shuttle bus from JR Maihama Station to the Disney hotels. For the hotels beyond Tokyo Disneyland, take the monorail from Resort Gateway Station.

Happy Entry and other Disney hotel guest benefits
Happy Entry is free. It lets staying guests enter the park through a Special Entrance before other guests. Which park you can enter early depends on the hotel.

The illustration sets out the rule by hotel. At Tokyo Disneyland, guests of all 6 Disney hotels can enter 15 minutes before other guests. At Tokyo DisneySea, only Fantasy Springs Hotel and Hotel MiraCosta guests get Happy Entry, and entry begins 5 to 15 minutes early. Fantasy Springs Hotel guests enter Tokyo DisneySea 15 minutes early through the Fantasy Springs Entrance or the Grand Chateau Gateway. MiraCosta guests cannot use the Hotel/Park Gateway during Happy Entry.
You can use Happy Entry on every day of your stay, including check-out day. The one day you cannot use it is check-in day. On a one-night stay, you get one morning of Happy Entry, on the day you check out.
You still need a 1-Day Passport for the park you enter. The hotel gives a Special Entrance Pass to each guest aged 4 or over, including children who share a bed.
Some dates have no Happy Entry. Guests at MiraCosta, Fantasy Chateau and Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel lose Tokyo Disneyland Happy Entry on three dates. As of September 24, 2026, those dates are October 31, 2026, November 10, 2026 and January 12, 2027. Grand Chateau guests can still use it on those dates. At Tokyo DisneySea, Happy Entry runs on every date until February 2027. The resort decides the off dates about four months ahead, so they may not be set when you book.
The second benefit is ticket access. Disney hotel guests can buy Park tickets for their stay at the hotel, even when tickets are sold out on the official website. You can buy one ticket per staying guest per day, and only the 1-Day Passport or the 1-Day Passport for Guests with Disabilities. Each ticket covers one park, so you cannot visit both parks on the same day with it.
You can buy these tickets at your hotel or at the Tokyo Disney Resort Welcome Center. Sales cover check-in day to check-out day, wherever you booked the room. Celebration Hotel guests can only buy at their hotel. At Tokyo Disneyland Hotel the counter is the 3F Reception, open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The Tokyo Disney Resort Park Tickets page lists the 1-Day Passport from 8,900 yen for adults, 7,400 yen for juniors and 5,300 yen for children. Prices change by date. On the Tokyo Disneyland calendar the adult 1-Day Passport is 11,900 yen on October 10 and 12,400 yen on October 11. Our Tokyo Disneyland ticket guide explains the ticket types, and our Tokyo Disney Resort App guide covers Premier Access and Standby Pass.
Grand Chateau adds one more benefit. Each room includes eight Attraction Tickets and four Show Viewing Tickets in the room rate, however many people stay.

Booking dates, room rates and deposits
Disney hotel reservations open at 11:00 a.m. on the same date four months before your stay. If that date does not exist, booking opens at 11:00 a.m. on the 1st of the next month. For an October 31 check-in, for example, you can book from 11:00 a.m. on July 1. You can book up to five nights and three rooms at once.

The flow chart follows one stay from the booking day to check-out. Book on the Tokyo Disney Resort Online Reservations & Tickets website or through some travel agencies. Online bookings need a deposit: 30,000 yen per room per stay for luxury and deluxe types, and 15,000 yen for moderate and value types. That means 15,000 yen at Toy Story Hotel and Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel, and 30,000 yen at the other four hotels.
Room rates change by date. The rate calendar on the Disney Hotels page shows the price for one room with two adults, room only. Up to two children aged 11 or under stay at no extra charge.
Take Fantasy Chateau in October 2026. As of October 8, 2026, the calendar showed rooms from 101,500 yen on October 19, 22, 23 and 26. October 21 and 25 started at 111,500 yen, and October 15 started at 130,000 yen.
The Fantasy Springs Hotel FAQ still quotes the launch rates for the night of June 6, 2024, set when bookings opened on February 8, 2024. Those were from 300,000 yen at Grand Chateau and from 63,500 yen at Fantasy Chateau. Use the live calendar for your own dates.

The checklist covers four points to settle before booking day. Set an alarm for 11:00 a.m. Japan time, four months before check-in. Have the deposit ready. Budget for a 1-Day Passport on top of the room, because Happy Entry needs one. Then check the renovation dates and closed day in the next section. For hotels elsewhere in Japan, our Japan hotel tax guide lists the city taxes added to room rates.

Renovations at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and MiraCosta in 2026-27
Oriental Land runs the resort. It plans guest room renovation at three Disney hotels ahead of the resort’s 45th anniversary. The dates come from its results briefing of July 30, 2026:
- Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel: July 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.
- Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta: August 19, 2026 to July 20, 2027.
- Tokyo Disneyland Hotel: January 4 to March 14, 2027.

The photo shows Hotel MiraCosta, the hotel with the longest renovation period. If you want a harbor-view room, check the room list on the booking site for your dates.
Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel closes for one day, January 18, 2027, for work on its thermal energy supply equipment.
There is also building work at the Tokyo DisneySea entrance. Since September 1, 2025, Happy Entry operations at Tokyo DisneySea have changed because of construction around the entrance. The work is scheduled to end by March 2029, and the resort posts any changes on its website.
These dates matter most for winter trips. The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel work starts in early January, right after the New Year holidays. Our New Year 2026–27 holiday page shows which days Japan is on holiday. Tokyo in December covers weather and events for a pre-New Year visit.

Official Hotels, Partner Hotels and Good Neighbor Hotels
The 6 Disney hotels are not the only hotels tied to the resort. The Tokyo Disney Resort Other Hotels page lists three more groups, 19 hotels in total. Their guests do not get Happy Entry. What changes from group to group is the shuttle bus.

The illustration compares the three groups side by side. The 6 Official Hotels stand inside the resort. They are Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama, MAIHAMA VIEW HOTEL, Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay, Hilton Tokyo Bay, Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel and Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort. A free shuttle called the Disney Resort Cruiser runs between these hotels and Bayside Station on the monorail.
If you arrive by train, Official Hotel guests can send their bags to the hotel from the Hotel Service Counter. It is on the station level of the Tokyo Disney Resort Welcome Center, next to JR Maihama Station.

The 4 Partner Hotels are in Shin-Urayasu. They are Hotel Emion Tokyo Bay, Mitsui Garden Hotel Prana Tokyo Bay, Urayasu Brighton Hotel Tokyo Bay and Oriental Hotel Tokyo Bay. A free direct bus runs to the bus terminals at both parks in about 15 minutes, with no reservation. Partner Hotel guests can send bags from Bon Voyage for 800 yen per item, from opening time to 3 p.m.
The Good Neighbor Hotels are in four areas of Tokyo and Chiba: Shinjuku, Koto/Sumida, Daiba/Ariake and Chiba/Makuhari. Each runs a free bus to both parks, but you must reserve a seat, and booking closes once the bus is full.
Getting to Disney hotels from Haneda and Narita
No Disney hotel runs a free shuttle from Haneda or Narita. Tokyo Disney Resort points guests to the Airport Limousine bus. The Airport Limousine bus from Haneda stops at Disney Ambassador Hotel, Hotel MiraCosta, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Fantasy Springs Hotel and Toy Story Hotel. Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel is not on this route.
From Haneda the adult fare is 1,300 yen and the child fare is 650 yen. The first bus leaves Haneda Terminal 3 at 7:35 and reaches Tokyo Disneyland at 8:15. Our Haneda Airport to Tokyo Disney Resort page lists the bus stops and the last bus, and also a train route for 880 yen.
From Narita the adult fare is 2,900 yen and the child fare is 1,450 yen. The first bus of the day leaves the Narita terminals between 7:50 and 8:00 and reaches Tokyo Disneyland at 8:56. See our Narita Airport to Tokyo Disney Resort page for the boarding stops at each terminal.
Road traffic changes the ride time. The resort’s bus guide gives about 55 to 60 minutes from Haneda and about 65 to 90 minutes from Narita. You can check the bus timetable up to two months ahead. To reserve a seat, call the Airport Limousine Bus Reservation and Information Center on 03-3665-7220, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
By train, get off at Maihama Station on the JR Keiyo Line or Musashino Line. The Tokyo Disney Resort By Train page gives about 50 minutes from Haneda with two transfers and about 80 minutes from Narita with one. From Tokyo Station it is about 20 minutes with no transfer. Our guide to getting from Tokyo to Tokyo Disneyland walks through the Keiyo Line platforms at Tokyo Station.
If you drive, Disney hotel guests can use the hotel parking from 12:00 midnight on check-in day. The Tokyo Disney Resort Getting Here page asks visitors to use public transport because the roads and car parks get very busy.
If you take a taxi, show the driver the hotel’s Japanese name. Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is 東京ディズニーランドホテル (Tokyo Dizunii Rando Hoteru). Each Disney hotel has Cast Members who speak English, Chinese or Korean, but they are not always available.

What people in Japan say about Disney hotels
In October 2026 we ran an online survey of people living in Japan who have been to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. 123 people answered; after removing answers that clearly contradicted themselves, 100 remained. The numbers below are shares of those respondents, not of all visitors. See the full survey results and how we asked.
53.0% (53 of 100) have only ever made day trips. 33 of the 100 have stayed at a Disney hotel; the hotels they named most were Tokyo Disneyland Hotel (15.0%), Disney Ambassador Hotel (14.0%), Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta (11.0%) and Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel (11.0%). Of those 33, 48.5% (16 of 33) said it was worth the price and 42.4% (14 of 33) felt it was a little expensive.
Asked where a foreign tourist should stay, 35.0% (35 of 100) said a Disney hotel and 15.0% (15 of 100) an Official Hotel on the Disney Resort Line.
“Tokyo Disneyland Hotel makes you feel like a princess, and it is right in front of Disneyland, so it is good for the night before a Disneyland day. At Hotel MiraCosta you stay inside the world of DisneySea the whole time. The rooms facing the harbor, with Mount Prometheus in view, are great but very popular and hard to get, so I recommend the Venice side: waking up to the morning sun on the empty canal is beautiful. Disney hotels are hard to book, and unless you sit on the website on the day bookings open there is no guarantee, but it is well worth it.”
— Woman in her teens, Kanto (Tokyo area). Original Japanese (excerpt): 「ランドホテル→お姫様気分を味わえる。…ミラコスタ→ずっとシーの延長線にいられる。…ヴェネツィアサイドをおすすめする。…予約当日にサイトに張り付かないと確実に取れる保証はない」
“Toy Story Hotel is really cute from the outside to the inside, and the courtyard is big enough for children to run around in, full of the Toy Story world. I was happy with all of it.”
— Woman in her 30s, Kyushu and Okinawa. Original Japanese (excerpt): 「トイストーリーホテルは、外観から内装まで全部が本当にかわいくて、中庭?では子どもが走りまわってもいいくらいの広さとトイストーリーの世界観があり」
