Tokyo DisneySea Guide: 33 Attractions, 8 Ports, From ¥9,900
Tokyo DisneySea opened in September 2001 next to Tokyo Disneyland in Maihama. For the prices below, japan-japan.com read the official ticket calendar on 8 October 2026. It covered all 61 dates on sale, from 9 October to 8 December.

The 8 themed ports at a glance
Tokyo DisneySea is split into 8 themed ports, each built around a different story.
The Tokyo Disney Resort Tokyo DisneySea attractions list counts 33 attractions across them. The table below gives the count per port and the rides that sell Disney Premier Access, the paid service that cuts your wait.
| Port | Attractions on the list | Premier Access rides | Main rides |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mediterranean Harbor | 5 | 1 | Soaring: Fantastic Flight |
| American Waterfront | 6 | 2 | Toy Story Mania!, Tower of Terror |
| Port Discovery | 2 | 0 | Nemo & Friends SeaRider |
| Lost River Delta | 3 | 2 | Indiana Jones Adventure, Raging Spirits |
| Fantasy Springs | 4 | 3 | Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey |
| Arabian Coast | 4 | 0 | Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage |
| Mermaid Lagoon | 7 | 0 | Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster |
| Mysterious Island | 2 | 1 | Journey to the Center of the Earth |
The list counts the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line and the DisneySea Electric Railway once per station, so the steamer counts three times and the railway twice.
Mediterranean Harbor wraps around the water where the harbor shows run, with Soaring: Fantastic Flight and Venetian Gondolas. American Waterfront has Toy Story Mania!, Tower of Terror and Turtle Talk inside the S.S. Columbia. Port Discovery has Nemo & Friends SeaRider.
Lost River Delta has two high-speed rides, Indiana Jones Adventure and Raging Spirits, a roller coaster with a 360-degree loop. Arabian Coast has Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage and Caravan Carousel, whose upper level stays closed until 26 October 2026. Mysterious Island has Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
Mermaid Lagoon has the most attractions, 7, including Jumpin’ Jellyfish and Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster. The official rainy-day guide says many of them are indoors, so you stay dry even in line. The photo below shows the port from outside.

Next door, Tokyo Disneyland sells Premier Access for 7 rides, against 9 here. Duffy and Friends merchandise is sold only at Tokyo DisneySea. Aquatopia, a boat ride that many older guides list, is not on the current official list.

Fantasy Springs, the eighth port
Fantasy Springs has three areas: Frozen Kingdom, Peter Pan’s Never Land and Rapunzel’s Forest. There are no entry restrictions now, so any guest admitted to Tokyo DisneySea can walk in. You ride by joining the standby line or by buying Disney Premier Access in the app.
Frozen Kingdom recreates Arendelle, with Elsa’s ice palace on the distant North Mountain. The photo below shows the area.

The four rides each last between 2 and 6.5 minutes.
- Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey: a boat ride of about 6.5 minutes. Premier Access costs ¥2,500.
- Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival: a boat ride of about 5 minutes. Premier Access costs ¥2,000.
- Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure: about 6 minutes, for riders 102 cm and over. Premier Access costs ¥2,000.
- Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies: a 2-minute ride with no Premier Access.
Royal Banquet of Arendelle, The Snuggly Duckling and Lookout Cookout ask you to order through Disney Mobile Order. You can order any time after you enter the park.
The Fantasy Springs Entrance lets in only guests of Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel and Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel. Anyone can leave through it until 21:00. The Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel page keeps the hotel grounds for staying guests. The big shop, Fantasy Springs Gifts, is marked “Standby Pass required”, so check the app for a free Standby Pass.

Tokyo DisneySea attractions: height limits and closures
Height, not age, decides which Tokyo DisneySea attractions a child can ride.
There is no age limit, but children under 7 must ride with someone aged 16 or older. Eight attractions have a height limit, in three steps.
- 90 cm and over: Nemo & Friends SeaRider and Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster.
- 102 cm and over: Soaring: Fantastic Flight, Tower of Terror and Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure.
- 117 cm and over: Indiana Jones Adventure, Raging Spirits and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Raging Spirits also has a 195 cm upper limit.
Measure your child before the trip. The Tokyo Disney Resort Disney Premier Access page warns that a paid Premier Access does not get you past a height limit. The illustration below turns the steps into a quick check.

Several rides close for maintenance this autumn and next spring. The table below lists the dates on the official closure list.
| Attraction | Themed port | Closed |
|---|---|---|
| Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull | Lost River Delta | 18 Aug 2025 to 29 Nov 2026 |
| Tower of Terror | American Waterfront | 28 Sep to 5 Nov 2026 |
| DisneySea Transit Steamer Line (Mediterranean Harbor stop) | Mediterranean Harbor | 4 Aug to 30 Nov 2026 |
| Journey to the Center of the Earth | Mysterious Island | 8 Jan to 8 Mar 2027 |
| Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure | Fantasy Springs | 9 Mar to 16 Mar 2027 |
| Raging Spirits | Lost River Delta | 17 Mar to 10 Apr 2027 |
| Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage | Arabian Coast | 17 Mar to 16 Apr 2027 |
In October and November 2026, three closures matter. Tower of Terror is closed until 5 November. Indiana Jones Adventure has been closed since 18 August 2025 and stays closed until 29 November 2026. The Mediterranean Harbor stop of the steamer line is closed until 30 November.
Mermaid Lagoon Theater has been closed since 1 July 2020, with reopening marked “TBD”. In 2027, Journey to the Center of the Earth closes from 8 January to 8 March. Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure follows from 9 to 16 March. Raging Spirits and Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage close from 17 March. Closures can change without notice, so check the Park Operation Calendar again before you go.

Believe! Sea of Dreams and other shows
Tokyo DisneySea’s biggest shows take place on the water of Mediterranean Harbor.
Believe! Sea of Dreams is the nighttime harbor show, and it runs about 30 minutes. Premier Access for it costs ¥2,500 and gives you a set spot in a viewing area. Without it, you watch from the general areas. Staff ask you not to open umbrellas in the viewing area. The photo below shows the harbor after dark.

The Tokyo Disney Resort official website event list dates the 25th anniversary event, Sparkling Jubilee, from 15 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Its harbor show, Sparkling Jubilee Celebration, runs about 15 minutes, one to three times a day. Special Image Projection: Sparkling Jubilee Night lights the walls of Hotel MiraCosta for about 5 minutes. The Sky Full of Colors fireworks last about 5 minutes and can be canceled in strong wind.
Two stage shows need a free Entry Request in the app, which you can try once a day per show. Dance the Globe! plays at American Waterfront for about 25 minutes until 31 March 2027. Dreams Take Flight in Lost River Delta also runs about 25 minutes. Both sell Premier Access at ¥2,500.
Disney Halloween Greeting, a 15-minute harbor show, runs until 31 October 2026, and Lazos de la Familia until 2 November. Disney Christmas follows from 11 November to 25 December. In Disney Christmas Greeting, Mickey, Duffy and Santa Claus ride a decorated barge twice a day. Starbright Christmas fireworks run once a day. The next month’s show times go up around the 8th of the month before. There is no New Year’s Eve program on 31 December 2026.

Tokyo DisneySea tickets, Premier Access and hours
Every Tokyo DisneySea ticket names one date and one park.
The Tokyo Disney Resort park tickets page puts tickets on sale daily at 14:00 Japan time for the same date two months later. Buy on the official website or the Tokyo Disney Resort App with a MyDisney Account, and pay by credit card, PayPay or Alipay. The parks do not sell tickets. Online tickets cannot be printed, so you show the code in the app or from the email. Adults are 18 and over, juniors 12 to 17 and children 4 to 11. Ages 3 and under enter free.
What a 1-Day Passport costs
On the 61 dates on sale when we checked, both parks cost the same every day. The adult 1-Day Passport had four prices: ¥9,900 on 5 dates, ¥10,900 on 41, ¥11,900 on 6 and ¥12,400 on 9. The calendar also shows ¥8,900 for 6 to 8 January 2027, the lowest price on it. Oriental Land, the company that runs the parks, added the higher-priced tickets from 10 October 2026.
The cheapest dates on sale were 2 to 6 November 2026. The ¥12,400 dates were seven Saturdays plus Sunday 11 October and Sunday 22 November. The adult price sets every other ticket price that day.
| Adult 1-Day | Junior 1-Day | Child 1-Day | After 3, adult |
|---|---|---|---|
| ¥9,900 | ¥8,200 | ¥5,600 | ¥7,900 |
| ¥10,900 | ¥9,000 | ¥5,600 | ¥8,700 |
| ¥11,900 | ¥9,800 | ¥5,900 | ¥9,500 |
| ¥12,400 | ¥10,200 | ¥5,900 | ¥9,900 |
Saturday is the most expensive day. The chart below shows the average adult price by kind of day.

| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Weekdays | 10,800 yen |
| Saturdays | 12,178 yen |
| Sundays | 11,789 yen |
| Weekday public holidays | 10,567 yen |
Saturdays averaged ¥12,178 and Sundays ¥11,789, against ¥10,800 on weekdays. Weekday holidays averaged ¥10,567, because Culture Day on 3 November fell in the cheapest week. Our November public holidays page lists it with Labor Thanksgiving Day on 23 November. Our Japan in November guide covers the rest of the month.
Evening tickets and two-park days
The After 3 Passport lets you in from 15:00 on weekends and holidays, at ¥7,900 to ¥9,900 for adults. The After 5 Passport starts at 17:00 on weekdays, at ¥6,000 to ¥6,600. Older tickets such as the Weeknight Passport stopped working on 15 September 2026.
No ticket covers both parks in one day. The limited Park Hopper Passport ended on 14 September 2026. You cannot switch a ticket to the other park. You can change the date of an unused online ticket for free, but there are no refunds for personal reasons or bad weather.
Disney Premier Access
Tokyo DisneySea sells Premier Access for 9 rides. Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey and Soaring: Fantastic Flight cost ¥2,500. Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, Toy Story Mania! and Journey to the Center of the Earth cost ¥2,000. Tower of Terror, Raging Spirits and Indiana Jones Adventure cost ¥1,500. Prices are per person, on top of the park ticket.
You buy it in the app after you enter, one ride at a time. The next purchase opens 60 minutes later, or when your booked time starts, whichever is first. Cards issued abroad work with a JCB, VISA, Mastercard or American Express logo, but PayPay and Alipay do not. There are no changes or refunds after you tap OK. Without a smartphone or card, buy at Guest Relations. The free 40th Anniversary Priority Pass ended on 31 August 2026.
Tokyo DisneySea hours
Tokyo DisneySea hours change by date and appear on the official Park Operation Calendar. Most dates run 9:00 to 21:00. The park closes at 18:30 on 27 November 2026, 22 January 2027 and 5 February 2027. It closes at 19:00 on 28 January 2027. The Tokyo Disney Resort before visiting the parks page tells you to check this calendar before you pick a day.

Food, beer and park rules
You cannot eat your own meals inside Tokyo DisneySea.
Eat them at the Picnic Area outside the park. Candy, gum, snacks for small children and bottled soft drinks are fine to carry. Guests with food allergies may bring their own meals into restaurants. The Tokyo Disney Resort theme park terms of use also ban alcohol, drones, pets other than assistance dogs, and suitcases.
Beer is sold at some restaurants in both parks. Staff ask guests who look young for an original ID such as a passport, and copies do not count. Japanese law bans drinking under 20 and for anyone who will drive.
Disney Mobile Order works at 17 Tokyo DisneySea restaurants, including Cape Cod Cook-Off, New York Deli and Casbah Food Court. You pick a time in the app, pay by card, PayPay or Alipay, and tap “I’m Here” on arrival. It does not hold a seat. If you miss your time, the order cancels at no charge.
Priority Seating books a table at 6 restaurants, including Magellan’s, S.S. Columbia Dining Room and Restaurant Sakura. Bookings open at 10:00 Japan time one month before, with no cancellation fee. The illustration below lists four things to sort out before you leave your hotel.

Popcorn costs ¥400 a box. Tokyo DisneySea wagons sell flavors missing from Tokyo Disneyland’s list, such as Garlic-Shrimp and Truffle-Salt. There are no halal menus in the parks at present.
Use the coin lockers outside for suitcases. They cost ¥400 to ¥1,500 by size. Selfie sticks, monopods and tripods cannot be used. Smoking, e-cigarettes included, is allowed only in smoking areas.
Guests 12 and over should not wear full costumes, except on set Halloween dates: 15 to 30 September and 16 to 31 October 2026. Liberty Landing Diner closes from 26 December 2026, and Restaurant Sakura and Waterside Terrace from 6 January 2027. All three stay closed until 30 June 2027.

Getting to Tokyo DisneySea
From central Tokyo, take a JR train to Maihama Station and change to the Disney Resort Line.
The Tokyo Disney Resort getting here page asks guests to use public transport because of heavy traffic around the resort. From Tokyo Station, the JR Keiyo Line reaches Maihama in about 20 minutes without a change. Allow 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the Keiyo Line platforms from the other JR lines or the Shinkansen.
Follow signs for 京葉線 (Keiyō-sen, Keiyo Line) and get off at 舞浜 (Maihama). Limited express trains such as the Wakashio do not stop there. The illustration below shows the four steps to the gate.

At Maihama, leave by the South Exit and turn left. Resort Gateway Station is about 2 minutes away. The Disney Resort Line takes about 9 minutes to Tokyo DisneySea Station, and the entrance is about 1 minute on foot. Tokyo Disneyland, by contrast, is a 5-minute walk from Maihama.

What visitors in Japan say about Tokyo DisneySea
In October 2026 we ran an online survey of people living in Japan who have been to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. 123 people answered; after removing answers that clearly contradicted themselves, 100 remained. The numbers below are shares of those respondents, not of all visitors. See the full survey results and how we asked.
86 of our 100 respondents had been to Tokyo DisneySea. 90.7% (78 of 86) were very satisfied or satisfied. Asked for the single best attraction, they named Soaring: Fantastic Flight (24.4%), Tower of Terror (12.8%), Indiana Jones Adventure®: Temple of the Crystal Skull (9.3%) and Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey (9.3%). 64.0% (55 of 86) stayed 8 hours or more on their most recent visit, by their own estimate.
For a trip with adults only, 76.0% (76 of 100) of all respondents would choose DisneySea over Disneyland.
“DisneySea: you can see the sea, it’s easy to get around, and exploring inside the ship is fun too.”
— Woman in her 50s, Kanto (Tokyo area). Original Japanese (excerpt): 「シー、海が見えて、まわりやすく、船の中を探索するのも楽しい」
