Narita, Haneda and Kansai terminals: airlines, lounges and showers

Big Japanese airports spread across several buildings, and the wrong one can cost you half an hour. Each terminal page lists the airlines that check in there, the station and the trains that leave from it, the free buses between terminals, and the lounges, showers, beds, SIM counters, ATMs and baggage counters inside, as the airport itself publishes them.

Before you set off

Four things that catch people out at these airports.

  1. Check the terminal on your e-ticket. Codeshare flights leave from the terminal of the airline that flies the plane.
  2. Narita Terminal 3 has no station. It is about 13 minutes on foot from the ticket gates of Airport Terminal 2 Station, or ride the free bus.
  3. At Kansai, Peach, Jeju Air and Spring Airlines use Terminal 2. The free bus leaves from Aeroplaza, next to the station.
  4. Haneda Terminals 1 and 2 close at midnight. For a late arrival or a dawn flight, Terminal 3 stays open for international passengers.
