Where to buy it

  • When you buy in Japan, staff check your passport for short-term stay status.
  • At tourist information counters at Haneda Airport and Narita Airport.
  • At Tokyo Metro pass offices and station tourist information counters, such as Ueno, Ginza and Shinjuku.
  • At BicCamera stores in Tokyo.
  • Online as a QR code ticket that you show on your phone.
Who can buy it
Overseas visitors, and visitors from Japan who live outside Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Yamanashi.

Seats and using the pass

  • The hours start when you first go through a ticket gate.
  • For the QR code ticket, press the start button on the ticket screen, then hold the QR code over the gate reader.
  • Some stations cannot read QR codes at the automatic gates; ask the station staff at the gate.

Refunds

Unused paper tickets bought at a Tokyo Metro pass office or information center can be refunded there within the validity period, with a 220 yen fee.

Good to know

  • You can buy up to as many tickets as the number of days of your stay.
  • The QR code ticket must be started within 90 days of purchase.
  • Show the ticket when shopping tax-free for home electronics at BicCamera to get up to 7% extra off.
  • It is also sold as a set with Keisei Skyliner tickets to and from Narita Airport.
  • Showing the ticket gives discounts at sightseeing spots in Tokyo (CHIKA TOKU).
