Yokohama-Minatomirai Pass: price, days and what it covers

Price

Valid on the day of use only, until the last train of that day (even after midnight).

Children aged 6 to 11 pay the child price.

What the pass covers

• JR Negishi Line between Yokohama and Shin-Sugita: non-reserved seats in ordinary cars of local and rapid trains.
• The Minatomirai Line of the Yokohama Minatomirai Railway.

Not covered

• The bus between Negishi Station and Sankeien Garden.

Where to buy it

• JR East reserved-seat ticket machines at main stations between Yokohama and Shin-Sugita; it is not sold at JR ticket offices.
• In the Mobile Suica app, on the day of use only (adults only).
• Some stations sell it at regular ticket machines.

Who can buy it

Anyone can buy it at JR East ticket machines in the area or in the Mobile Suica app.

Seats and using the pass

• If it is unused, you can change the date once at the ticket office where you bought it (not on Mobile Suica).
• When it is on Suica and you ride beyond the area, the extra fare is taken from your Suica balance at the gate.

Refunds

Unused passes can be refunded within the validity period at the ticket office of the station where you bought them, with a 220 yen fee.

Good to know

• JR East's sample day route around Yokohama costs 560 yen with the pass instead of 770 yen.
• No refund is given for train cancellations or delays.
