Duffy and Friends: Where to Buy at Tokyo DisneySea

Where to buy Duffy bear at Tokyo DisneySea
The official Tokyo Disney Resort FAQ answers the Duffy question in two lines. Duffy and Friends items are “only available at Tokyo DisneySea”, and they are available at “three major shops”. The FAQ says major shops, so treat these three as your main stops for Duffy bear shopping.
All three sit in two themed ports. The Tokyo DisneySea official attractions list names 8 themed ports, starting with Mediterranean Harbor and American Waterfront. Our Tokyo DisneySea guide covers the other six ports, the rides and the opening hours.

The photo above shows the Mediterranean Harbor waterfront. Galleria Disney is in this port. The park’s shop list describes it as “Duffy merchandise and more”, and marks it “Standby Pass required”.
The other two shops are in American Waterfront. Aunt Peg’s Village Store is listed simply for “Duffy merchandise”. McDuck’s Department Store adds sweets: the list says “Duffy merchandise, sweets, and more”. If you want boxed snacks with Duffy and his friends on the lid, start at McDuck’s.
| Shop | Where | How to get in | What it sells |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galleria Disney | Mediterranean Harbor, Tokyo DisneySea | Park ticket, Standby Pass required | Duffy merchandise and more |
| Aunt Peg’s Village Store | American Waterfront, Tokyo DisneySea | Park ticket, Standby Pass required | Duffy merchandise |
| McDuck’s Department Store | American Waterfront, Tokyo DisneySea | Park ticket, Standby Pass required | Duffy merchandise, sweets and more |
| Bon Voyage | Next to JR Maihama Station | No park ticket; 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; booking on busy days | Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea merchandise |
| Disney hotel shops | Inside each Disney hotel | No park ticket | Tokyo Disney merchandise |
The table puts the three park shops next to the places outside the gates. Only the park shops are named in the Duffy FAQ. Bon Voyage, Ikspiari and the hotel shops are useful for other Tokyo Disney merchandise on days when you do not enter a park.

The chart above matches each situation to a place. Inside Tokyo DisneySea, go to the three shops. On a day without park tickets, go to Bon Voyage at Maihama Station. If you stay at a Disney hotel, try the hotel shop, and if you also want dinner or a film, go to Ikspiari.
Duffy also has his own show. Duffy and Friends’ Wonderful Friendship plays at Cape Cod Cook-Off in American Waterfront, and you watch it while you eat. Reservations are required. The show runs about 20 minutes, and the whole meal takes about 65 minutes. Show restaurant bookings open at 9:00 a.m. Japan time one month before your visit and close at 8:59 p.m. the day before.
Standby Pass and Advance Shop Reservations for shops
Some shops only let people in at a booked time. The Tokyo Disney Resort Services at the Park page gives two ways in. You either get a Standby Pass, or you book a date and time through Advance Shop Reservations. The second service is in Japanese only, so most visitors use the Standby Pass.
The Duffy FAQ says you “may be required to obtain a Standby Pass on the Tokyo Disney Resort App after entering the Park”. You cannot get it at home the night before. Open the app once you are through the gate, find the shop and pick a return time.

The flow above shows the order. Enter the park, get the pass, come back at your time, and then think about the next shop. The timing rule for a second pass is strict. Say you still hold an unused pass. You can get one for a different shop at the earlier of two times. One is your return time. The other is 120 minutes after you got the first pass. At least 60 minutes must pass since your last pass.
In practice, get the pass for the shop you care about most first. While you wait, ride something nearby. Then check the app for your second pass, for one of the American Waterfront shops or Galleria Disney.
The app needs some set-up before your trip. The Tokyo Disney Resort official app page says some functions need GPS turned on and a registered MyDisney Account. The account is free, and guests must be 13 or older to create one. The app does not work on some devices such as tablets and iPads. It needs iOS 16.0 or later, or Android 11.0 or later.
The app shows Japanese or English depending on your phone’s language setting. You cannot switch language inside the app, so set the phone to English before you install it. Our Tokyo Disney Resort App guide walks through the login and the Standby Pass screens.
One phone can do the work for a whole group. A group in the app holds up to 20 members, including the person who invites. One phone can get Standby Passes for everyone in it. Children 3 and under do not need app services. Do not swap or sell passes with other guests: the park terms ban the exchange or transfer of Standby Passes.

Purchase limits, stock and shopping in the app
The FAQ is clear on numbers. “As with other Tokyo Disney Resort items, there is a limit of thirty per item.” Merchandise tied to events may be limited to 1 or 3 per item. The current event at Tokyo DisneySea is the 25th anniversary “Sparkling Jubilee”, from April 15, 2026 through March 31, 2027.
The limits can change on the day. The Tokyo Disney Resort Theme Park Terms of Use say merchandise “may run out of stock”. The number of items you can buy “may be limited” too.
Shelves at McDuck’s Department Store change through the day. The parks do not give stock information to individual guests. The FAQ asks you to check it on the Tokyo Disney Resort App. For items that are not on the app, check at the shop on the day of your visit.
The app also has an online shop, Tokyo Disney Resort Shopping. It is offered in Japanese only. If you cannot read Japanese, plan to buy in person at the three park shops.
Buying to resell is banned. The terms of use list “Purchase of merchandise or souvenir goods for resale purposes” as prohibited conduct. The park can then refuse further sales to you, cancel your ticket or ask you to leave.

The drawing sums up four common mistakes. Do not buy to resell. Do not expect park goods to be tax free. Do not look for Duffy at Tokyo Disneyland. Do not try to send opened items or glass through the delivery service.

Bon Voyage at Maihama Station: hours and reservations
Bon Voyage is the Tokyo Disney Resort shop outside the parks. The official page says it has “the grandest selection of Disney merchandise available under one roof anywhere in Japan”. It sells both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea merchandise. You do not need a park ticket to shop here.

You cannot miss the building. Leave the ticket gates at JR Maihama Station and look ahead to your right. You will see a building shaped like a giant suitcase and hatbox, as in the photo. It stands on the walkway between the station and Tokyo Disneyland. The shop is on the second floor, and service facilities are on the first floor.
Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The hours can change with park operating hours. Bon Voyage opened in March 2001, eight months after Ikspiari.
On busy days you may need a booking to enter. The Tokyo Disney Resort Before visiting the parks page says reservations open at 11:00 a.m. five days before your visit. One reservation lets in only the person who made it. You can book once per shop per day.
A booking does not promise anything on the shelves. The official page warns that some items may be sold out. Guests without a reservation may still get in, depending on how many people are inside. The details page for Advance Shop Reservations is in Japanese only.
Driving? Bon Voyage has no parking of its own. Use the Ikspiari parking lot. Purchases at Bon Voyage count toward the Ikspiari parking validation, with the same discounts.

Ikspiari and the Disney hotel shops
Ikspiari is a shopping and dining complex in front of JR Maihama Station. It has about 140 shops and restaurants and a movie theater complex. It opened in July 2000.

The photo shows Ikspiari in front of the station. The top page of the IKSPIARI official website lists business hours of 10:00 to 22:30. On signs and on that page, look for 営業時間 (eigyō jikan), which means “business hours”. The site also links to a page with detailed hours.
Ikspiari is a good stop on the day you arrive or leave. You can shop, eat and watch a film without a park ticket. Remember that the Duffy FAQ ties Duffy and Friends items to Tokyo DisneySea.
The Tokyo Disney Resort official website lists two parks, six Disney hotels, Official Hotels, Ikspiari and a monorail line. Each Disney hotel in the FAQ’s shop list has its own store:
- Tokyo Disneyland Hotel: Disney Mercantile
- Disney Ambassador Hotel: Festival Disney
- Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta: MickeyAngelo Gifts
- Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel: Gift Planet
- Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel: Disney Fantasy
If you stay at one of these hotels, check its shop before you queue at Bon Voyage. Hotel guests can also buy park tickets at the hotel they are staying at.
Paying, tax-free and sending souvenirs home
Payment is easy for most visitors. The same methods work at Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea and Bon Voyage. They are cash, credit cards, debit and prepaid cards, electronic money and the Tokyo Disney Resort Gift Card. Contactless card payment is accepted too. Code payments such as PayPay and Alipay do not work at shops, restaurants or Bon Voyage. They work only for Disney Mobile Order and for buying park tickets online.
The FAQ lists 7 credit card brands: JCB, VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners Club, UnionPay and Discover. Electronic money includes QUICPay, iD and transport IC cards. A Suica card, PASMO or ICOCA from your train rides works at the register. Other cards on the list are Kitaca, manaca, TOICA, HAYAKAKEN, nimoca and SUGOCA.
| Payment type | What is accepted | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Credit cards | JCB, VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners Club, UnionPay, Discover | Parks and Bon Voyage |
| Electronic money | Suica, PASMO, ICOCA and other transport IC cards, QUICPay, iD | Parks and Bon Voyage |
| Other | Cash, debit and prepaid cards, Gift Card, contactless | Parks and Bon Voyage |
| In the app | Overseas JCB, VISA, MasterCard, American Express cards | Premier Access and Mobile Order |
| Code payments | PayPay and Alipay | Mobile Order and online tickets only |
| Shopping bags | 30 yen each, M or L | From August 4, 2026 |
The table also covers payments inside the app. For Disney Premier Access and Disney Mobile Order, overseas cards with the JCB, VISA, MasterCard or American Express logo are accepted. Mobile Order also takes PayPay and Alipay. The terms of use note that payment methods can differ between facilities.
Do not expect a tax refund at the parks. The FAQ says, “Items sold at the Parks are not tax free.”
Japan’s tax-free system changes on 1 November 2026, and it matters for shopping elsewhere on your trip. The Japan Tourism Agency new tax-free system page explains the refund method. At a tax-free shop you pay the price with tax. You then pass a customs check when you leave Japan, within 90 days of purchase, and get the tax back.

This is the Japan Tourism Agency’s page for travellers, in Japanese. The diagram shows three stages. You buy with tax at the shop and show your passport at the airport kiosk within 90 days. The refund then comes from the shop or its refund agent. Purchases must reach 5,000 yen before tax in one shop on one day. Our guide to what changes on 1 November 2026 and the tax-free shopping hub cover each step.
Bring a bag. Shopping bags cost a fee in both M and L sizes. They were 20 yen each, and from August 4, 2026 they cost 30 yen each.
Heavy hauls can go by delivery. The Home Delivery Service sends items bought in the park and your baggage, for a fee. Refrigerated shipping is available, but cash on delivery is not. Opened merchandise and glass products cannot be delivered.

Run through the checklist above before your park day. Set your phone to English and register a MyDisney Account. Get the Standby Pass after entry. Carry an accepted card or a Suica, and budget 30 yen per bag.

Getting to Maihama and planning your shopping day
Many visitors go straight from the airport to the resort. From Narita, the Airport Limousine bus takes 56 minutes and costs 2,900 yen. It runs 22 times a day from Terminal 1, from 08:00 to 18:40. Our Narita Airport to Tokyo Disney Resort page lists the stops for each terminal.
From Haneda, the Airport Limousine bus takes 40 minutes and costs 1,300 yen. The train costs 880 yen and takes 59 minutes on the Keikyu Line and JR, with two changes to reach Maihama Station. The bus runs 17 times a day from Terminal 3, from 07:35 to 18:50. See the Haneda Airport to Tokyo Disney Resort page for the bus stops.
The direct bus stops at Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea and the resort hotels. If you are coming from a hotel in central Tokyo, read our guide to getting from Tokyo to Disneyland by train and bus.
Plan the day in this order. Buy your Duffy items on a Tokyo DisneySea day, using Standby Passes from the morning. Save Bon Voyage for the evening you leave the park, or the morning before your flight. It opens at 8:00 a.m. and sits right next to the station.
Check the calendar before you pick a date. On the October 2026 Park Operation Calendar, Tokyo DisneySea showed 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for October 9, with an adult 1-Day Passport at 10,900 yen. Disney Christmas runs from November 11 through December 25, 2026. If you come then, our page on Tokyo in December covers the rest of the city.

This Japan Tourism Agency leaflet answers common questions about the new refund method, in Japanese. It matters on your way home from Narita or Haneda if you bought tax-free elsewhere. Finish the customs check before you check in your bags. The check works per receipt, so if one item on a receipt is missing, none of them qualify.

What people in Japan say about Duffy and souvenirs
In October 2026 we ran an online survey of people living in Japan who have been to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. 123 people answered; after removing answers that clearly contradicted themselves, 100 remained. The numbers below are shares of those respondents, not of all visitors. See the full survey results and how we asked.
65.0% (65 of 100) like Duffy and Friends, and 45.0% (45 of 100) own merchandise. Among the 90 who know the characters, the favorite was Duffy (28.9%).
The souvenirs they bought most were sweets (cookies, chocolates and so on) (89.0%), plush toys (52.0%) and headbands and hats (44.0%). Asked what to buy as a gift, they named a box of sweets (easy to share) (64.0%), merchandise sold only at the parks in Japan (55.0%) and Duffy and Friends plush toys (25.0%).
“Chocolate crunch is the classic souvenir. There are more flavors now and many versions of the tin, so it is sure to be a hit.”
— Woman in her 40s, Kanto (Tokyo area). Original Japanese (excerpt): 「チョコクランチはお土産の鉄板です。味も種類が増え、缶もバージョンが色々あるので絶対喜ばれます。」
“DisneySea, because Duffy and Friends are cute and there are items you can only get there.”
— Woman in her 40s, Kanto (Tokyo area). Original Japanese (excerpt): 「ディズニーシー ダッフィフレンズが可愛くて 限定品があるから!」

FAQ
Can you buy Duffy and Friends at Tokyo Disneyland?
No. The official FAQ says Duffy and Friends items are only available at Tokyo DisneySea. Plan a Tokyo DisneySea day for them and head to Galleria Disney, Aunt Peg’s Village Store or McDuck’s Department Store.
Do you need a Standby Pass to buy Duffy merchandise?
Often, yes. The shop list marks all three Duffy shops “Standby Pass required”, and you get the pass in the app after you enter the park. If you have not used it, the next pass for a different shop opens after your return time or 120 minutes, whichever comes first.
Is there a limit on how many Duffy items you can buy?
Yes. The limit is 30 per item, the same as other Tokyo Disney Resort goods. Event merchandise may be limited to 1 or 3 per item. Buying to resell is banned by the park terms.
Are Tokyo Disney souvenirs tax-free for tourists?
No. The FAQ says items sold at the parks are not tax free. From 1 November 2026, tax-free shops elsewhere in Japan charge tax first and refund it after a customs check when you leave.
