Tokyo Metro 24-hour Ticket: price, days and what it covers

Price

24 hours from first use. Same-day tickets must be used on the day of purchase; advance tickets within 6 months of purchase.

Children aged six to eleven pay the child price.

What the pass covers

• All nine Tokyo Metro lines.

Where to buy it

• Same-day tickets: ticket machines at all Tokyo Metro stations.
• Advance tickets: only from the online store.
• PASMO IC card version: ticket machines at most Tokyo Metro stations and at Tokyo Metro pass offices.
• QR code version: bought online and shown on your phone.

Who can buy it

Anyone can buy it at Tokyo Metro ticket machines.

Seats and using the pass

• The 24 hours start when you first go through a ticket gate.
• If you enter a station within the 24 hours, you can still exit after the time runs out.
• For the QR code version, press the start button on the ticket screen, then use the gate.

Refunds

Unused tickets can be refunded before they expire, with a 220 yen fee.

Good to know

• The IC version can only be loaded on a PASMO card, not on Suica or other IC cards.
• A lost ticket is not reissued; you need to buy a new one.
• Some stations cannot read QR codes at the automatic gates; ask the station staff at the gate.
• Showing the ticket gives discounts at sightseeing spots in Tokyo (CHIKA TOKU).
