7-Eleven Japan snacks: the short answer

7-Eleven Japan snacks cost a median 153 yen before tax across 10 Seven Premium items on Seven-Eleven Japan’s product pages, checked 17 October 2026. Prices run from 100 yen for gummies and shrimp rice chips to 258 yen for baumkuchen and thick-cut nori chips.

  • Median: 153 yen before tax across 10 Seven Premium snacks.
  • Cheapest: 100 yen before tax, or 108 yen with 8% tax.
  • Most expensive: 258 yen before tax, or 278.64 yen with 8% tax.
  • Allergens: 2 of the 10 list none of the 8 required allergens.

Seven Premium is 7-Eleven’s own brand. We took every number in this guide from Seven-Eleven Japan’s product pages. Each page shows a price before tax and a price with 8% tax. It also names the area where the item is sold, the allergens from a fixed list of 8, and the calories per item.

We put those details for 10 packaged snacks side by side. The list covers five sweet snacks and five salty ones. You can use it to set a budget, pick a snack by allergen, or check whether an item reaches the region you are visiting.

Counting our own data gives two more numbers. 5 of the 10 snacks cost 150 yen or less before tax. 9 of the 10 are listed for all of Japan, and the one exception is Bite-size Kabukiage rice crackers, which is not listed for Okinawa.

The rest of the store is in our 7-Eleven Japan food database, from onigiri to the hot counter. Across 119 items there, the median is 204 yen before tax. Medians by section run from 153 yen to 550 yen, and snacks sit at the bottom of that range.

The bar chart below lines up all 10 prices, lowest first, so you can see where each snack falls.

Two of the 10 belong to the Gold line (7プレミアムゴールド): the baumkuchen at 258 yen and the financier at 188 yen before tax. The other eight are Seven Premium.

Each product page also shows a price with 8% tax. With that tax, the 10 snacks run from 108 yen to 278.64 yen.

The with-tax price includes fractions of a yen, such as 159.84 yen for the lightly salted chips. You will find a with-tax price for every snack in the two sections below.

Some stores have an eat-in area. If you eat reduced-tax items there, the 7-Eleven Japan English FAQ says a 10% tax rate applies instead of 8%.

Seven-Eleven Japan says products, sizes, prices and release dates can differ by area, so a store may not carry every snack on this list.

Our Shine Muscat gummies page has the same data in English. Gelatin is a separate question, and the allergens section below explains what the snack pages can and cannot tell you.

Salty snacks: chips and rice crackers

The other five snacks are salty. They are two bags of potato chips, two rice snacks and one bag of edamame chips. Four of them list one allergen each. The lightly salted potato chips list none.

Seven Premium potato chips: lightly salted (7プレミアム ポテトチップス うすしお味) cost 148 yen before tax, or 159.84 yen with 8% tax. They are sold in all of Japan. The Seven-Eleven Japan potato chips lightly salted product page lists none of the 8 required allergens. One bag has 383 kcal.

Kabukiage is the only snack here with a limited sales area. The product page lists Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Koshinetsu, Hokuriku, Tokai, Kinki (Kansai), Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushu. Okinawa is not on that list, so do not plan on buying it there.

The third photo in this post on X by @Part2Sugar on 11 October 2026 shows the Seven Premium bite-size Kabukiage bag, 138 yen before tax.

The two rice snacks on this list are both made from rice, but their allergen labels differ, so read each one.

Allergens and calories in 10 Seven Premium snacks — The snack pages list only the 8 required allergens, so pork, beef and gelatin are not shown.

Allergens, pork and gelatin in 7-Eleven Japan snacks

2 of the 10 snacks list none of the 8 required allergens. They are the Shine Muscat gummies and the lightly salted potato chips. 6 of the 10 list wheat, and 4 list milk. The three baked sweets are the only ones that list egg.

If you avoid wheat, 4 of the 10 do not list it: the gummies, the lightly salted chips, the almond chocolate and the shrimp rice chips. If you avoid milk, 6 of the 10 do not list it. If you avoid shellfish, skip the shrimp rice chips, which list shrimp.

By group, the three baked sweets list egg, milk and wheat. Among the five salty snacks, three list wheat (the thick-cut nori chips, the Kabukiage and the edamame chips), one lists shrimp, and the lightly salted chips list none.

The snack pages show only those 8 required allergens. They do not say whether a snack contains pork, beef or gelatin. A snack with no listed allergens can still contain an animal ingredient that the list does not cover.

Avoiding pork or gelatin: check before you buy. Do you avoid pork or gelatin? Snack pages list only 8 allergens.
Avoiding pork or gelatin: check before you buy

The checklist above shows what to check if you avoid pork or gelatin. An allergen list is not a halal or vegan check. It does not cover alcohol, other animal ingredients or how the food is made.

Turn the package over and find the full ingredient list. In Japanese it is headed 原材料名 (genzairyo-mei), which means “ingredient names.” If you cannot read it, ask the staff before you pay.

Other parts of the store give more detail than the snack pages. On the allergen pages for the hot counter, oden, steamed buns and Seven Cafe, 22 of 108 items list pork. On those same pages, 14 items list beef and 6 list gelatin.

So the pork and gelatin labels you may see for fried chicken or steamed buns do not exist for packaged snacks. Our 7-Eleven hot snacks guide covers the hot counter items in detail.
