teamLab Forest Fukuoka 2026: Tickets, Hours and Access

teamLab Forest Fukuoka: the short answer

teamLab Forest Fukuoka is a permanent teamLab museum on 5F of BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA, next to the Mizuho PayPay Dome, open weekdays 11:00–19:00 and weekends and holidays 10:00–19:00. Adult tickets cost 2,400 yen on every date and entry time we checked over 60 days.

  • Last entry: 18:30, and ticket sales end at 18:15.
  • Peak price: The official price table lists 2,700 yen for adults on peak dates.
  • Nearest subway: Tojinmachi on the Kuko Line, about 5 minutes from Tenjin.
  • Rules: No re-entry, no cancellations and no change of entry time.

We read the teamLab Forest Fukuoka official page and the BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA pages. Then we checked every date and entry time on the official ticket site on 7 October 2026. The museum opened on 21 July 2020 and has no end date.

If you searched for teamLab Fukuoka, this is the permanent teamLab museum in the city. It has two parts. In the Catching and Collecting Forest, you catch digital animals with a smartphone app and build your own collection book. In the Athletics Forest, you jump, climb and balance inside the artworks. Our comparison of the teamLab museums in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Fukuoka shows how this one differs from the others.

The address is BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA 5F, 2-2-6 Jigyohama, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka. The building also holds other paid attractions, restaurants and a theatre. This guide covers teamLab Forest only, so prices for the other attractions in the building are not mixed in.

Look for this building beside the dome, then go up to 5F.

Hours, last entry and dome event days

The teamLab Forest Fukuoka official FAQ gives the standard hours. Weekdays run 11:00–19:00. Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays run 10:00–19:00. The official page adds that opening and closing hours can change, and it sends visitors to the BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA site to check.

Two later times matter more. The last entry is 18:30, and ticket sales stop at 18:15, according to the BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA facility hours page for 7 October. If you plan to buy at the building, arrive before 18:15.

Games and events at the Mizuho PayPay Dome next door can move the hours. The FAQ says hours may change on dome night-game days and event days. The facility hours page lets you pick a date from a calendar and shows the hours for each attraction in the building that day. Check it for your date before you set out.

The dome in the photo stands right beside the museum building. On dome event days, the building asks visitors to come by public transport because its car park gets crowded.

The daily hours data for October shows how the pattern works. Wednesday 7 October runs 11:00–19:00. Saturday 10 October and Monday 12 October, a public holiday, both run 10:00–19:00. National holidays follow the weekend hours, so Culture Day on 3 November and Labour Thanksgiving Day on 23 November should open at 10:00. Our guide to public holidays in Japan in November lists both dates.

Your ticket shows an entry time, not a time limit. The operator’s FAQ says there is no limit on how long you stay inside during opening hours. Once you walk out, you cannot go back in, because re-entry is not allowed. The exhibition has no restrooms or break areas, so use the building’s toilets before you enter.

Ticket prices: our 60-day check

japan-japan.com checked every date and entry time on the official ticket site on 7 October 2026. The check covered 60 open dates, from 7 October to 5 December 2026. That was 40 weekdays and 20 weekend days and public holidays, with up to 17 entry times a day. We recorded the online price in yen, tax included.

The adult price did not move. Adults aged 16 and over paid 2,400 yen on every date and at every entry time. The lowest, highest and median prices were all 2,400 yen. A 10:00 entry cost the same as an 18:00 entry, and a Monday cost the same as a Saturday.

That makes planning simple here. You do not need to pick a quiet weekday or an early slot to save money. Our teamLab comparison shows how the ticket prices work at the museums in Tokyo and Kyoto.

The official prices come in two levels. The BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA teamLab Forest page lists a regular price and a peak price for each ticket. Adults pay 2,400 yen regular or 2,700 yen peak. High school and university students pay 2,000 yen or 2,200 yen. Children aged 4 to 15 pay 1,000 yen or 1,200 yen. The page links to a price calendar that marks each date as regular or peak.

The “from 2,400 yen” on the official site is the regular price. None of the 60 dates in our check showed the peak price for adults.

Sell-outs were not a problem on the day we checked. Out of 660 entry times, 0 were sold out and 0 showed only a few tickets left. No date had a sold-out entry time.

Some tickets are only for people who live or study in Japan. The student ticket is for students at a Japanese high school or university, and staff check the student ID at the entrance. The Fukuoka Prefecture resident ticket costs from 2,200 yen for adults and from 800 yen for children. The disability discount tickets cost 2,200 yen for adults, 1,800 yen for students and 800 yen for children. You can buy these two types only on the Japanese version of the ticket site. Most visitors from abroad should budget 2,400 yen per adult and 1,000 yen per child aged 4 to 15.

How to buy tickets and what you can’t change

There are two ways to buy. Use the official online ticket site, linked from the official page, or the ticket machines on 3F. Door tickets go on sale unless advance tickets sell out first. The FAQ recommends buying in advance. In our check no entry time had sold out, but that was one day’s snapshot.

Payment methods differ a little. The ticket machines take VISA, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club International, PayPay, Alipay, WeChat and cash. Online, you can pay with the same five card brands, PayPay or Alipay. WeChat and cash work only at the machines.

Buying a teamLab Forest Fukuoka ticket

The illustration shows the four steps from choosing a slot to walking in. Check the date and entry time twice before you pay. Once you buy a ticket, you cannot cancel it and you cannot change the entry time. The official notes say tickets are not refundable except when the venue closes without notice. Resale is banned, and staff refuse entry with resold tickets.

Rules differ between teamLab museums, so read this one’s rules even if you have visited another. At Forest Fukuoka, a purchase is final.

Time your entry with the closing time in mind. Ticket sales end at 18:15 and the last entry is 18:30. With no stay limit inside, a 10:00 entry on a weekend or holiday gives you the most time before the museum closes at 19:00.

What to wear, lockers and photo rules

Wear flat, steady shoes. The FAQ says visitors in high heels, sandals or clogs cannot enter many areas of the museum. Staff also turn away anyone in unsteady footwear from the Athletic Area for safety. You can rent sneakers on 4F, but the official page says they are limited in number and design, so bring your own.

Expect the space to be dark. Many areas have uneven or unstable footing. Some artworks use flashing lights and loud sounds. Staff refuse entry to visitors who feel unwell or are drunk.

Leave big bags downstairs. Any bag over 50cm long goes into a coin locker on 1F or 3F. The teamLab Forest Fukuoka official page in Japanese says these lockers are paid. The BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA facility guide puts them outside the 1F entrance and near the 3F ticket machines. If you come straight from the airport with a suitcase, lock it up before you go up to 5F.

Check these before you leave the hotel. Are you ready for teamLab Forest? Flat sneakers, not heels, sandals or clogs.
Check these before you leave the hotel

The checklist covers four rules to check before you leave your hotel. Photos and videos are welcome inside, but flash is not allowed. Tripods, monopods, selfie sticks and other photo aids are banned at any length. Shooting for commercial purposes needs approval in advance.

Food and drink stay outside. The exhibition space bans eating and drinking, including candy and gum. The banned items list also includes drinks in open containers, fresh flowers and other strong-smelling items. For a meal, The FOODHALL is on 3F of the same building.

Children, strollers and wheelchairs

There is no age limit. Children aged 12 and under must come with a parent or guardian. One adult can bring up to three children, and children under 3 count toward that number. The adult needs a ticket too.

Children aged 3 and under get in free with a guardian. Children aged 4 to 15 pay 1,000 yen at the regular price, the same on every date we checked.

Strollers cannot go into the museum. Park yours in the stroller space on 3F, next to the information desk. The facility guide says the space has no lock, so bring your own.

Children, strollers and wheelchairs. If you have…. Then. Children aged 12 and under. 1 adult per 3 children.
Children, strollers and wheelchairs

The lookup chart sums up the answers for families and wheelchair users. The nursing room is on 5F, with a hot water dispenser for formula and 2 changing tables. You also find changing tables in the toilets on several other floors.

Wheelchair users can enter, but some areas are closed to them. The museum limits how many wheelchairs can be inside at once, so you may have to wait. You can borrow a wheelchair at the 3F information desk, with no advance booking. Accessible toilets are on every floor except the roof.

Some visitors cannot use many of the artworks for safety reasons. The BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA page lists pregnant visitors, wheelchair and cane users, people who cannot walk unaided and people carrying a child. If your child needs carrying, many areas will be off limits while you hold them.

By subway, the nearest station is Tojinmachi on the Kuko Line. From Tojinmachi, the ride takes about 5 minutes to Tenjin and about 11 minutes to Hakata.

From the airport, the Kuko Line runs straight through. Fukuoka City Subway takes 5 minutes and 260 yen from Fukuoka Airport to Hakata Station. It takes 11 minutes and 260 yen from Fukuoka Airport to Tenjin. Stay on the same line past Tenjin to reach Tojinmachi. The Fukuoka Airport subway access page explains that the airport station connects to the south side of the Domestic Terminal by escalator.

The flow chart traces the subway route from the airport to the museum. Our Fukuoka Airport guide covers both terminals. If you land at the International Terminal, take the free shuttle bus from bus stop 5 to the Domestic Terminal’s south bus stop. Subway entrances 1A and 1B are right there.

Buses also run to the dome area. Bus 139 leaves from the Fukuoka Airport Domestic Terminal South and stops at Mizuho PayPay Dome, Kyushu Medical Center and Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk. From Tenjin, buses 300, 301, 303, W1 and 77 serve the dome area. From Hakata, take 306, 300, 301, 303 or 305. On official game days and event days, extra direct buses leave from the Tenjin Expressway Bus Terminal and from platforms 6 and 7 at Hakata Bus Terminal.

The photo shows the Kuko Line, the subway you ride from the airport. To skip buying a paper ticket for each ride, tap through the gates with Hayakaken, the Fukuoka City Subway IC card. For several rides in one day, the Fukuoka City Subway One-Day Ticket costs 640 yen for adults and 320 yen for children. The FUKUOKA TOURIST CITY PASS costs 2,500 yen and covers buses, trains, subways and ferries in Fukuoka City for 1 day.

If you arrive from another city, start with our routes from Tokyo to Fukuoka and Osaka to Fukuoka. Both end at Hakata, about 11 minutes from Tojinmachi by subway.

A taxi from Hakata or Tenjin also works. Show the driver the address in Japanese: 福岡県福岡市中央区地行浜2-2-6 (Fukuoka-ken Fukuoka-shi Chuo-ku Jigyohama 2-2-6). You can also say the building name, ボス イーゾ フクオカ (Bosu Īzo Fukuoka), which means BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA.

Plan your Fukuoka day around the visit

Eat before or after your visit, not during it. You cannot eat inside the exhibition, and there is no stay limit, so a long visit can run past lunch. The FOODHALL on 3F is the closest option. Tenjin and Hakata are short subway rides away for a meal before or after.

Work back from the last entry. On weekdays the doors open at 11:00, and on weekends and holidays at 10:00. The last entry is 18:30 and closing is 19:00. A morning entry leaves the afternoon free for Tenjin or Hakata. A late-afternoon entry fits after a day of sightseeing. On a dome night-game or event day, check the facility hours page for your date once more.

Hakata Station, in the photo, is where trains from Tokyo and Osaka arrive. From there, the subway takes about 11 minutes to Tojinmachi.

The season changes what else you can do on the same day. Our guides to Fukuoka in October, Fukuoka in November and Fukuoka in December list the events for each month. teamLab also runs a separate, time-limited show in Maizuru Park, teamLab: Digitized Fukuoka Castle Ruins. It runs from 30 October 2026 to 11 January 2027. It is a different venue from BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA.

Inside the museum, the artworks follow the seasons too. The official page lists autumn scenery versions of four works, including Flutter of Butterflies, Ephemeral Life. For real autumn colour outside, our Fukuoka autumn leaves guide says the sample maple turns red around 1 December in an average year. The ginkgo turns yellow around 20 November.
