KINTETSU RAIL PASS 1day: price, days and what it covers

Price

Valid on the day of use only.

Adults are 12 and over and children are 6 to 11; children under 6 ride free.

What the pass covers

• Kintetsu lines between Osaka-Namba and Kintetsu-Nara, Kyoto and Tsutsui, Nagata and Ikoma, and Toriimae and Ikomasanjo.
• Nara Kotsu buses in the area between Nara Park, Nishinokyo and Horyuji Temple.

Not covered

• Limited express trains need a separate limited express ticket.
• Outside the pass area, buy a normal fare ticket for that part.

Where to buy it

• Buy online on the external site linked from Kintetsu, or at a travel agency outside Japan.
• It is a digital ticket sold online 24 hours a day; you board by holding the QR code over the gate reader.
• Up to four tickets per reservation.

Who can buy it

Only for foreign visitors to Japan; carry your passport when you use it.

Seats and using the pass

• Use a gate that accepts digital tickets; at other stations, show the ticket to station staff.
• Tap Activate Tickets on the day you want to start.

Refunds

Passes bought online or through a travel agent cannot be refunded at Kintetsu ticket offices, and there are no refunds for train delays or closed facilities.

Good to know

• Special benefits at about 40 facilities.
• Only the holder may use the pass.
• Screenshots of the QR code do not work at the gates.
