The Greater Tokyo Pass costs 6,500 yen for 5 days (digital pass), on the official website; children pay 3,250 yen. Five days in a row from the first use; each day runs from 3:00 a.m. to 2:59 a.m. the next morning. What the pass covers

  • All lines of 13 rail and tram companies: Odakyu, Keio, Keisei, Keikyu, Sotetsu, Seibu, Tokyu, Tokyo Metro, Toei, Tobu, the Minatomirai Line, Yokohama City's subway and Yurikamome.
  • All Toei Bus routes, except municipal community buses and buses of other companies.
  • Some sections of the Narita SKY ACCESS Line to Narita Airport.

Not covered

  • JR lines, the Tokyo Monorail, and buses not run by Toei.
  • Surcharges for limited express trains, reserved seats and night fares.
  • Trips to or from stations of other companies: you pay the ordinary fare from the nearest valid station.

Fares are one adult, reserved seat where trains have them, from the City to City pages (searched for 14 October 2026). A round trip is twice the one-way fare. The share compares the round trip with 6,500 yen for 5 days (digital pass), on the official website.

Partly covered: 3 more journeys (not counted)
  • Tokyo to Hakone by Romancecar: Covers the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku to Odawara; the Hakone Tozan Line from Odawara to Hakone-Yumoto is not on the pass, and the Romancecar limited express ticket is extra.
  • Tokyo to Hakone by Odakyu Rapid Express + Hakone Tozan: Covers the Odakyu train from Shinjuku to Odawara; the Hakone Tozan Train from Odawara to Hakone-Yumoto is not on the pass.
  • Tokyo to Nikko by Tobu limited express: Covers the Tobu fare from Asakusa to Tobu-Nikko; the limited express ticket is extra.

Where to buy it

  • Online on the official sales site run by Linktivity, or from affiliated travel agencies and online travel agents.
  • You pay with a credit card or digital money issued outside Japan, or buy on a website shown in a language other than Japanese.
  • One digital pass can cover up to 8 people.
Who can buy it
Only foreign visitors to Japan, with a valid passport; foreign residents of Japan and Japanese citizens cannot use it.

Seats and using the pass

  • Press the Use button, then show the in-use screen to station staff, conductors or bus drivers when you get on and off.
  • Do not use the automatic ticket gates; they do not accept the pass.
  • Everyone on one digital pass must travel together, and each rider must carry a passport.

Refunds

You can get a refund only before first use, from the agent where you bought it, under that agent's fee rules; no refund after you start, even if service is suspended.

Good to know

  • The voucher must be used within 3 months of purchase.
  • A lost or stolen pass cannot be replaced.
  • If your phone runs out of battery or breaks, you pay the regular fare when you exit.
