What the pass covers

  • Ordinary-class non-reserved seats on limited express, rapid and local trains on all JR Shikoku and Tosa Kuroshio Railway lines.
  • All rail and tram lines of Asa Coast Railway, Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad and Tosaden Kotsu.
  • The Asa Coast Railway DMV, except trips to and from Muroto on weekends and holidays; you can ride only if seats are free that day.

Not covered

  • The Sunrise Seto sleeper train and all bus services.
  • Iyotetsu (Iyo Railway) can no longer be used from March 7, 2026.
  • The Shodoshima Ferry and Shodoshima Olive Bus, for passes sold on or after October 1, 2026.

Where to buy it

  • From travel agencies outside Japan (JTB, Nippon Travel Agency, KNT-CT, JALPAK and agents they name) as an exchange order valid for three months.
  • In Japan at Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Tokushima, Kochi and Kotohira stations and JR Shikoku Tour branches, from one month before the first day of use.
  • Online on JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION; pick it up at Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Tokushima or Kochi Station.
  • As a QR ticket from the online travel agencies Klook and Trip.com, which works at automatic ticket gates without an exchange.
Who can buy it
Only for foreign travelers visiting Japan with Temporary Visitor status.

Seats and using the pass

Seats
The pass covers ordinary-class non-reserved seats.
  • Passes bought from travel agencies or at station ticket offices must be exchanged for a paper ticket.
  • Exchange an MCO from one month before the first day of use up to that day.
  • Activate the Klook or Trip.com QR ticket once on your phone within 90 days of purchase.

Refunds

Unused passes can be refunded, in principle up to the day before the first day; where and what fee depend on how you bought it.

Good to know

  • The 4-day and 5-day passes are no longer sold from October 1, 2026.
  • The KAGAWA Mini Rail & Ferry Pass stopped selling after September 30, 2026.
