IC cards in Tokyo: Suica and PASMO on trains and buses

- Toei says PASMO and Suica (Mobile Suica) cards can be used at all stations of the Nippori-Toneri Liner, and also together with IC cards for other transportation systems throughout the country.
- Tokyo Monorail
- Tokyo Monorail says that besides Suica you can also use Kitaca, PASMO, manaca, TOICA, PiTaPa, ICOCA, Hayakaken, nimoca and SUGOCA at its ticket gates.
- Keisei
- Keisei says PASMO can be used on Keisei Electric Railway and most trains and buses in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and tells PASMO or Suica users to touch both ticket gates at Narita Airport Station and Airport Terminal 2 Building Station.
- Keikyu
- Keikyu says that from March 14, 2026, you can use your PASMO (or a nationwide mutual-use IC card) as an entry ticket when you enter a station, for example to see someone off or use station facilities.
- Tokyu Setagaya Line
- Tokyu says that on the Setagaya Line you can use Suica and also other transportation IC cards from across the country.
- Tokyu lines
- Tokyu says PASMO, Suica and other cards can be charged at the silver ticket machines, yellow fare adjustment machines and pink IC charge machines at its stations.
Where an IC card may not work
- Toei Bus
- Toei says PASMO and Suica cards cannot be used on Koto Route 01, the Koto Ward community route bus Shiokaze.
- PASMO and Suica areas (Kanto Railway, Chiba Monorail)
- PASMO says these cards cannot be used on some lines, so you should ask the train and bus operators, and that only PASMO and Suica can be used on the Kanto Railway and the Chiba Monorail.
- Mobile Suica
- PASMO says that when Mobile Suica is used at PASMO operators, some services such as settlement away from the ticket gate and exit processing are limited. Ask JR East for details.
- JR East
- JR East asks you to use only one Suica at the gate and not to keep several IC cards in the pass case.
- JR East
- JR East says Suica can only be used within its applicable areas and cannot be used to travel between areas, for example from the Tokyo metropolitan area to the Sendai area.

- JR East sells Welcome Suica at the JR EAST Travel Service Centers at Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Ueno and Yokohama stations, at JAPAN RAIL CAFÉ TOKYO and at the TAKANAWA GATEWAY Travel Service Center.
