Konbini Sandwiches at 7-Eleven Japan Cost 198 to 446 Yen
The Kanto list has 42 listings for 33 different items. It mixes sandwiches with burgers, burritos, rolls and a hot dog. We counted only the 16 items with サンド (sando, sandwich) in the Japanese name.
The median is the middle price of the 16. Nine sandwiches cost 347 yen or less, and the other 7 cost more. Three sandwiches share that middle price, at 374.76 yen once tax is added.
Some items appear twice on the list. Each listing covers a different group of prefectures, so one sandwich can show up once for Tokyo and once for Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Saitama. We counted each sandwich once.
Seven sandwiches appear twice, each time at the same price: THE Egg Sandwich, the egg and tuna sandwich, the mixed sandwich, the juicy ham sandwich, the ham and egg sandwich, the teriyaki chicken and egg sandwich and the shrimp cutlet sandwich. One listing includes Tokyo, and the other covers Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Saitama.
7-Eleven Japan sandwich prices
7-Eleven Japan sandwich prices sit between 198 and 446 yen before tax in Kanto. The Seven-Eleven Japan sandwich and roll list (Kanto) gives every price twice: before tax and with the 8% reduced tax rate.
The table below lists all 16 sandwiches from cheapest to most expensive. It gives the English name, the Japanese name printed on the label, and both prices.
| Sandwich | Japanese name on the label | Price before tax | With 8% tax |

| BLT sandwich | BLTサンド | 430 yen | 464.40 yen |
| Shrimp cutlet sandwich with tartar sauce | タルタル海老カツサンド | 446 yen | 481.68 yen |
The tax-included price on the list uses the 8% rate for take-out food. For example, THE Egg Sandwich costs 278 yen before tax and 300.24 yen with tax.
You never pay a fraction of a yen. The list explains that the register adds tax to the total of the before-tax prices and drops anything under 1 yen.
Eating in the store changes the rate. The Seven-Eleven Japan English FAQ for visitors says a 10% tax rate applies when you buy reduced-tax items and eat them in the eat-in area. Only some stores have an eat-in area.
Prices and items also change by region. The list warns that size, price and release date can differ by area, so treat this table as the Kanto list only. 14 of the 16 sandwiches list Tokyo or the whole Kanto region among their areas.
The other 2, the vegetable mix sandwich (345 yen) and the chicken katsu sandwich made with Kyushu Hanamidori chicken (397 yen), are listed only for Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Saitama, not Tokyo.
The Kanto list also names the other regions each listing covers. THE Egg Sandwich, the Yokubari Sando and the 426 yen chicken katsu sandwich are all listed for Kinki (Kansai) as well. The BLT sandwich and the ham cutlet and egg sandwich are not.
The burdock salad and teriyaki chicken sandwich has the shortest area. It is listed for Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo and Kanagawa only. Prices outside Kanto may differ, so check the label in the store you visit.
A listed item may still be missing from your store. Seven-Eleven Japan says some stores do not carry every item, and a listed item can end early. Our 7-Eleven Japan food database keeps prices, allergens and pork labels for many more items.
The cheapest and priciest sandwiches
Four of the 16 sandwiches cost 300 yen or less before tax.
- Yokubari Sando (198 yen): menchi katsu, a minced meat cutlet, with egg. It is 213.84 yen with tax.
- THE Egg Sandwich (278 yen): 300.24 yen with tax.
- Egg and tuna sandwich (278 yen): two fillings in one pack, 300.24 yen with tax.
- Mixed sandwich (288 yen): 311.04 yen with tax.
The illustration below sorts the whole list into three price bands, all before tax.

Three sandwiches sit exactly on the median of 347 yen. They are the juicy ham sandwich, the ham and egg sandwich, and the tuna and cucumber sandwich. Each costs 374.76 yen with tax.
Below them are the vegetable mix sandwich at 345 yen and the ham cutlet and egg sandwich at 327 yen. Just above them are the teriyaki chicken and egg sandwich at 357 yen and the burdock salad and teriyaki chicken sandwich at 360 yen. The crisp lettuce sandwich costs 387 yen.
Three sandwiches pass 400 yen. The chicken katsu sandwich costs 426 yen, the BLT sandwich 430 yen, and the shrimp cutlet sandwich with tartar sauce 446 yen. The shrimp cutlet one is the most expensive sandwich on the list, at 481.68 yen with tax.

The Seven-Eleven Japan chicken katsu sandwich page lists it at 426 yen before tax and 413 kcal. You can see its price, allergens and calories on our chicken katsu sandwich page.
We also bought a 230 yen egg sandwich in Tokyo. Our Japanese 7-Eleven egg sandwich guide compares it with the 278 yen one.
What the labels say
The labels we photographed in a Tokyo store on 20 October 2026 matched the Kanto list. We checked three sandwiches on the same shelf.
- THE Egg Sandwich: 278 yen before tax and 300.24 yen with tax.
- Chicken katsu sandwich: 426 yen before tax and 460.08 yen with tax.
- Teriyaki chicken and egg sandwich: 357 yen before tax.
All three prices were the same as the official list.
Each label shows the Japanese name with an English name under it. You can match a pack to the table by either name. The illustration below shows the three things to read on a label.

Labels and the official list show two prices. On the official list, the tax-included price carries the word 税込 (zeikomi, tax included). If you see 税込 next to a price, that is close to what you pay for take-out.
The list also says nutrition labels can differ by item and asks shoppers to check the label on the pack. If the label and a website disagree, go by the label in your hand.
Calories and allergens
The 7 sandwiches in our database run from 228 kcal to 413 kcal each. These are official values for one sandwich, taken from Seven-Eleven Japan’s product pages.
The chart below ranks those seven sandwiches by calories.

| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| BLT sandwich | 228 kcal |
| Mixed sandwich | 297 kcal |
| Tuna and cucumber sandwich | 306 kcal |
| Ham and egg sandwich | 332 kcal |
| Egg and tuna sandwich | 339 kcal |
| THE Egg Sandwich | 402 kcal |
| Chicken katsu sandwich | 413 kcal |
In order, the BLT sandwich has 228 kcal and the mixed sandwich 297 kcal. The tuna and cucumber sandwich has 306 kcal and the ham and egg sandwich 332 kcal. The egg and tuna sandwich has 339 kcal.
The same seven cost 278 to 430 yen before tax. THE Egg Sandwich and the egg and tuna sandwich cost 278 yen each, and the mixed sandwich 288 yen. The ham and egg and the tuna and cucumber sandwiches cost 347 yen each, the chicken katsu sandwich 426 yen and the BLT sandwich 430 yen. All seven list egg, milk and wheat among the 8 required allergens.
The top two are THE Egg Sandwich at 402 kcal and the chicken katsu sandwich at 413 kcal. The BLT is one of the priciest sandwiches but has the fewest calories of the seven.
Price and calories do not move together. THE Egg Sandwich gives 402 kcal for 278 yen. The BLT sandwich gives 228 kcal for 430 yen.
The product pages also give protein, fat, carbohydrate and salt. The Seven-Eleven Japan THE Egg Sandwich page lists 10.8 g of protein and 29.3 g of fat. The chicken katsu sandwich has 17.7 g of protein and 2.4 g of salt equivalent.
Every sandwich page has an allergen line headed 特定原材料8品目, the 8 required allergens under Japanese labelling rules. All 14 sandwich and bread items in our database list egg, milk and wheat.
The illustration below sets out what to check before you buy.

The pages show only the 8 required allergens. So they do not tell you whether a sandwich contains pork, fish stock or alcohol.
An allergen table is not a halal or vegan check. Read 原材料名 (genzairyomei, ingredients) on the pack, or ask the staff before you buy. Our vegetarian, vegan and halal food guide for Japan explains how to ask about hidden ingredients such as dashi.
Burgers, burritos and rolls on the same list
The Kanto list has 42 listings for 33 items, and 17 of them are not sandwiches. They share the same list and a similar price range.
The cheapest item on the whole list is not a sandwich. The egg salad roll (コク旨たまごサラダロール) costs 138 yen before tax. The hot dog (あじわいホットドッグ) costs 168 yen.
Burgers appear mostly in the prefectures north of Tokyo. The cheeseburger costs 270 yen in Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Saitama. The tartar chicken burger and the Kiwami cheeseburger cost 398 yen each, and the Kiwami one is listed for Saitama only.
Breakfast items sit here too. The sausage egg muffin costs 288 yen, and the pastrami and cream cheese baguette costs 298 yen. The mini roll with ham, egg and croquette costs 268 yen.
Some items look like sandwiches but do not have サンド in the name, so we did not count them. The salami and bologna crisp lettuce roll costs 360 yen. The spicy taco meat wrap (ラップデリ) costs 298 yen in Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo and Kanagawa.
Two more items cost 398 yen each. The protein chicken roll (たんぱく質が摂れるチキンロール) is listed for much of Kanto. The shrimp salad roll with six kinds of vegetables is listed for Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama and Okinawa.
The five burritos are the only items on the list sold in all of Japan. The chart below compares their prices before tax.

| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Ham and cheese | 248 yen |
| Tuna and corn | 268 yen |
| Chili meat, two sausages | 288 yen |
| THE Margherita | 288 yen |

Sweet bread is not on this list. Our melon pan page shows the soft sweet bun at 118 yen before tax and 127.44 yen with tax.
For a hot meal, our guide to 7-Eleven bento and noodle meals lists the boxes we checked. Our 7-Eleven onigiri guide covers rice balls and their fillings.
If you shop at other chains too, our Japanese convenience store food guide covers food across the konbini chains.
Konbini sandwich FAQ
How much is a sandwich at 7-Eleven Japan?
The median is 347 yen before tax, or 374.76 yen with 8% tax. That is across the 16 sandwiches on the Kanto list checked 17 October 2026. Prices run from 198 yen to 446 yen, and eating in the store raises the tax to 10%.
What is the cheapest sandwich at 7-Eleven Japan?
The Yokubari Sando, with menchi katsu and egg, costs 198 yen before tax and 213.84 yen with tax. Next come THE Egg Sandwich and the egg and tuna sandwich at 278 yen each. The mixed sandwich costs 288 yen.
Do 7-Eleven sandwiches contain pork?
The sandwich pages list only the 8 required allergens, and pork is not one of them. The names help: the juicy ham, ham and egg, and ham cutlet and egg sandwiches contain ham, and the B in BLT is bacon. For anything else, read 原材料名 on the pack or ask the staff.
Is the 7-Eleven egg sandwich the same as THE Egg Sandwich?
THE Egg Sandwich (セブンーイレブンこだわりTHEたまごサンド) is the egg sandwich on the official list, at 278 yen before tax. We also bought a 230 yen egg sandwich with a red Ureshii Ne! sticker in a Tokyo store, and it was not on the official pages on 17 October 2026. See our THE Egg Sandwich page and our egg sandwich guide.
