Does 7-Eleven Japan Take PXPay Plus? Yes, via PayPay

1. On the screen at the till, choose the Code payment icon.
2. Open PXPay Plus and show the payment code to the cashier.
3. The cashier scans your code. 7-Eleven does not show a store QR code for you to scan.

PayPay's list of linked overseas services shows PXPay Plus works both ways in Japan: you scan the shop's code, or the shop scans yours. At 7-Eleven the cashier scans your code.

7-Eleven says not every store takes every way to pay. If PXPay Plus is refused, a card with the Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club or Discover mark works with the Credit Card icon, and cash is taken only in Japanese yen. Many stores also have a Seven Bank ATM that gives yen to cards issued abroad.
