Sendai Marugoto Pass: price, days and what it covers

Children aged 6 to 11 pay the child price.

What the pass covers

• JR lines between Sendai, Matsushima, Matsushima-Kaigan, Yamadera and Shiroishi stations.
• All of the Sendai Airport Access Line.
• All Sendai Subway lines, Sendai City Buses and the Loople Sendai bus (not the Rakuten Shuttle bus).
• Miyagi Kotsu buses between Sendai Station and Akiu Otaki.
• The Abukuma Express Line between Tsukinoki and Abukuma.

Not covered

• On JR, only local and rapid trains in non-reserved seats are included.

Where to buy it

• At JR ticket offices and reserved-seat ticket machines, JR EAST Travel Service Centers, major travel agencies and the ticket machines at Sendai Airport Station.
• Can be bought from one month before the first day of use.
• The ticket machines at Sendai Airport Station only sell passes that start on the day of purchase.

Seats and using the pass

• Use the automatic gates on JR, the Sendai Subway and the Sendai Airport Access Line; on buses show the pass when you get off, and on the Abukuma Express show it when you get on and off.
• Show the TOHOKU MaaS digital pass at a staffed ticket gate.

Refunds

Unused passes can be refunded within the validity period at the place of purchase, for a 220-yen fee.

Good to know

• Pass holders get a coupon booklet with discounts at sights and restaurants; if you buy from a reserved-seat ticket machine, pick it up at the Sendai Tourist Information Center on the 3rd floor of Sendai Station.
• The TOHOKU MaaS digital version is on sale until March 30, 2027.
• Foreign tourists can also buy the one-day Sendai Area Pass.
