Where to buy an IC card at Fukuoka Airport

At the Nishitetsu Bus counter on the 1st floor of the Fukuoka Airport International Terminal, ticket machines and nimoca (IC card) charging stations are available. The counter is open 8:30-21:20. On nimoca's English page, the place to buy a nimoca at Fukuoka Airport is the north-side bus counter of the Domestic Terminal. nimoca refunds are not available at the bus counter of the Fukuoka Airport International Terminal.

International Terminal 1F, Nishitetsu Bus
At the Nishitetsu Bus counter on the 1st floor of the Fukuoka Airport International Terminal, ticket machines and nimoca (IC card) charging stations are available. The counter is open 8:30-21:20.
Domestic Terminal
On nimoca's English page, the place to buy a nimoca at Fukuoka Airport is the north-side bus counter of the Domestic Terminal.
Fukuoka Airport Bus Terminal
On nimoca's Japanese page, all types of nimoca can be bought at the Fukuoka Airport Bus Terminal of Nishitetsu Bus.
Fukuoka Airport Station (subway)
At Fukuoka Airport Station, as at all subway stations, Hayakaken is sold at ticket machines that carry the Hayakaken mark. The listed Customer Service Centers (commuter pass counters) are at Meinohama, Nishijin, Tenjin, Hakata, Kaizuka and Beppu.

Price
A Hayakaken can be bought for 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 or 10,000 yen, and the price includes a 500 yen deposit.
Deposit
A Hayakaken has a 500 yen deposit taken at first purchase. It is returned when you hand the card back, and it cannot be used to pay fares.
Refund
At a subway station window or a commuter pass counter, a Hayakaken is refunded as the balance minus a 220 yen fee, plus the 500 yen deposit. The card is collected.

nimoca

Price
A new nimoca costs 2,000 yen, made up of a 500 yen deposit and 1,500 yen of usable balance.
Deposit
A nimoca has a 500 yen deposit. It is paid back when you cancel the card and hand it in.
Refund
At a station counter or bus office that handles nimoca, a nimoca is refunded as the balance minus a 220 yen fee, plus the 500 yen deposit. The card is collected.
