Frequently asked questions

Do ramen museums in Japan charge entry?

Of the 12 places we checked, only 2 do: the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum (450 yen for adults, 100 yen for school children) and the Cup Noodles Museum Yokohama (500 yen for adults, free for high school students and younger). The Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda and Asahikawa Ramen Village are free, and ramen streets have no ticket.

Which ramen hall in Japan has the most shops?

Of the permanent halls and streets, Ganso Sapporo Ramen Yokocho has the most: 17 ramen shops in its official guide. Tokyo Ramen Street and Hokkaido Ramen Dojo at New Chitose Airport have 10 each. Fukuoka City counts 100 yatai food stalls in fiscal 2026.

Where can I take a ramen-making class in Japan?

At the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum, from 4,700 yen per person plus entry, with a booking. The Cup Noodles Museums in Yokohama and Osaka Ikeda run the Chicken Ramen Factory (1,200 yen from junior high school age) and My CUPNOODLES Factory (500 yen a cup).

Do I need a flight ticket to eat at the airport ramen halls?

No. Hokkaido Ramen Dojo at New Chitose Airport and Ramen Runway at Fukuoka Airport are on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminals, before security, so anyone can eat there.

When is Tokyo Ramen Festa 2026?

From 30 October to 3 November 2026 at Komazawa Olympic Park, 11:00-20:00 (until 19:00 on the last day). Entry is free, and each bowl needs a 1,100 yen ramen ticket.
