PokePark Kanto Tickets: the short answer

From 1 November 2026, PokéPark Kanto tickets are capped at 6 per order and every visitor’s ID is checked. Overseas buyers apply by lottery on the English store from the 1st to the 12th of each month and register a passport number.

  • Per order: up to 6 tickets for admission from 1 November 2026, with no more than 2 Ace Trainer’s Passes.
  • Overseas lottery: apply from the 1st to the 12th for dates three months ahead, then pay by the last day of the month.
  • At the gate: scan the original passport you registered. A photocopy is not accepted.
  • Cancelling: possible until 6:00 PM Japan time on the day before your visit, with a full refund.

The rules depend on your admission date, not the day you buy. A ticket you win in October for a December visit follows the new rules. The changes cover the English store for overseas residents and the Japanese site for people with a Japanese mobile. Most of what follows comes from the park’s own notices and the English store’s pages, and it explains where most visitors get stuck.

What changes for admission from 1 November

The park announced the changes on 14 July 2026. The details are in the PokéPark KANTO notice of changes to ticket purchase and entry. The official website applied the purchase changes from 1 August 2026. The entry changes start on 1 November 2026. We checked on 11 October 2026 that the notice still gives the same schedule.

Ticket limits before and after 1 November 2026. To 31 October. 2 per first-come order, 6 held at once. From 1 November.
Ticket limits before and after 1 November 2026

The drawing above shows the two sides of the switch. On the left are visits up to 31 October, and on the right are visits from 1 November.

More tickets per order

On the Japanese site’s first-come sales, you can buy 2 tickets at a time for dates up to 31 October 2026. For dates from 1 November 2026, the limit rises to 6 tickets per purchase. Only 2 of those 6 can be Ace Trainer’s Passes. The lottery uses the same limits, starting with the lottery held in August 2026.

One account can also hold more unused tickets. The cap is 12 in total, and tickets for dates up to 31 October count for no more than 6 of them. Tickets still waiting in a lottery count towards the 12. Each member can enter a monthly lottery up to 3 times, but can only win once per lottery period.

Every visitor is named on the ticket

When you apply for a date from 1 November, you register details for each visitor. On the Japanese site, that means the name, the name in Latin letters and a mobile number you can be reached on. For a child without a phone, enter a parent’s number. You cannot edit these details later. The only fix is to cancel and buy again.

Staff check each person at the entrance

From November 2026 admissions, staff match each visitor against the details on the ticket, one by one. Children under 3, who do not need a ticket, skip the check. A typo, a different Latin spelling or another person’s name counts as a failed check. The check happens at the PokéPark Kanto entrance, so you can enter Yomiuriland before you are checked.

The Japanese pages call this check 本人確認 (honnin kakunin), which means “identity check”. Staff may already ask for ID on visits through October, so carry your passport now.

Rule Admission to 31 October Admission from 1 November
First-come tickets per purchase 2 6 (Ace Trainer’s Pass max 2)
Unused tickets held per account Up to 6 Up to 12
Visitor details on the ticket ― Every visitor, cannot be changed
ID check at the entrance Possible, so carry ID Every visitor except under 3
Cancellation 18:00 JST the day before 18:00 JST the day before
Before and after 1 November 2026 — The rules follow your admission date, not the day you buy.

The table above puts the old and new rules side by side. The cancellation row is the same for both, because cancelling has been possible since 1 August 2026.

Buying from overseas: the English ticket store

If you live outside Japan, buy on the PokéPark KANTO Official English Web Ticket Store (JTRWeb LTD). JTRWeb LTD runs it as an authorised ticket reseller of PokéPark KANTO LLC. Tickets are sold by application only, which works as a lottery. There is no first-come sale on this store.

Getting tickets from overseas, step by step. Apply on the 1st to 12th. Enter the passport ID when you apply.
Getting tickets from overseas, step by step

The four steps in the drawing follow one monthly cycle on the English store. Here is the same cycle with dates.

  1. Apply from the 1st to the 12th. Each window covers one full month of admission, three months ahead. For example, applications for visits from 1 to 31 May open from 1 to 12 February.
  2. Wait for the result. Results arrive around the end of the month. Only selected applicants are notified, by email.
  3. Pay by the last day of the month. If a winner does not pay, a redraw may give those tickets to other applicants. The store does not announce redraw dates.
  4. Show your QR code. Each ticket gets its own QR code by email. Staff check it at the Yomiuriland entrance gate and again at the PokéPark Kanto gate.

Since October 2026, the application window opens at 7:00 PM Japan time. Applications for January 2027 admission were due to open at 7:00 PM on 1 October 2026. The store says that opening was delayed by one hour, to 20:00. That window stays open until 23:59 Japan time on 12 October.

Order limits and passport details

One order on the English store can hold up to 6 tickets. Only 2 of them can be Ace Trainer’s Passes. Each application covers one ticket type, so you cannot mix passes in a single application.

When you apply, you enter a Passport ID for the visitor. Type it from the passport itself, not from memory. The store says the registered Passport ID cannot be changed after you submit. The store accepts 5 card brands and Alipay: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and Diners Club International.

How the Japanese site differs

The PokéPark KANTO Ticket Information (English) page says residents of Japan buy on the Japanese-language site. You need a membership account and SMS verification with a mobile phone that works in Japan. Only one account is allowed per person.

The PokéPark KANTO Ticket Information (Japanese) page adds two details. The Japanese site runs the same three-month lottery and also sells first-come tickets. First-come sales open at 19:00 each day, two months before the admission date. Payment there is by credit card only.

Overseas store vs Japan site — How the English store for overseas residents compares with the Japanese site.

The table compares the two stores line by line. For most overseas visitors, the English store is the only practical route, because the Japanese site needs a Japanese phone for SMS.

The park’s English app works after you arrive in Japan and connect to a network there. It shows tickets bought on the English store and handles limited-access ticket entries inside the park.

The three passes and what they cost

PokéPark Kanto sells three passes, and the price changes with the visit date. Every pass also covers entry to Yomiuriland, the amusement park around it. Yomiuriland rides still need their own tickets, bought inside Yomiuriland.

  • Ace Trainer’s Pass: entry to Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town at any time. Perks include a reserved Sedge Gym Show seat and one priority ride on each attraction.
  • Trainer’s Pass: one entry to Pokémon Forest in a set time slot, with no re-entry, and entry to Sedge Town at any time.
  • Town Pass: Sedge Town only. Children under 3 can enter Sedge Town without a ticket.

The photo shows Yomiuriland, the amusement park that your PokéPark pass also lets you enter. The starting prices below come from the official ticket page. Ages count on the day of your visit, not the day you apply.

Ace Trainer’s Pass from 14,000 yen from 11,000 yen from 13,500 yen
Trainer’s Pass from 7,900 yen from 4,700 yen from 7,100 yen
Town Pass from 4,700 yen from 2,800 yen from 4,200 yen

The Person with Disabilities price matches the child price for each pass: 11,000 yen, 4,700 yen and 2,800 yen. One companion aged 13 or over can buy a ticket at the same price. At the gate, you show an official disability certificate issued in your country or region.

January 2027 prices on the English store

The English store lists three adult price levels for January 2027. The Ace Trainer’s Pass costs 16,500, 15,000 or 14,000 yen. The Trainer’s Pass costs 9,400, 8,500 or 7,900 yen. The Town Pass costs 5,500, 5,000 or 4,700 yen.

The chart shows the top and bottom level for each pass. For one sample day, Friday 8 January 2027, the Trainer’s Pass costs 8,500 yen for adults and 7,700 yen for seniors. Children and visitors with disabilities pay 5,100 yen. There are no annual passes and no group tickets.

Passport check at the gate: what can stop you

For English store tickets, JTRweb Ltd. runs the identity check from November 2026 admissions. The PokéPark KANTO English ticket store Passport ID Verification page explains how it works. When you arrive, you scan your passport on a Passport ID Verification machine and follow the on-screen steps. The system checks that the passport matches the Passport ID you registered.

The photo shows the Yomiuriland entrance area. You pass this gate first, and the passport check comes later, at the PokéPark Kanto entrance inside.

The PokéPark KANTO FAQs (English) page says to bring your original passport. Copies are not accepted. If the scan fails, staff may refuse entry.

ID on the Japanese-site route

Tickets from the Japanese site use a staff check instead. The PokéPark KANTO FAQs (Japanese) page and the July notice list the accepted documents:

  • My Number card, driver’s licence or driving record certificate.
  • Passport, residence card or special permanent resident certificate.
  • Disability certificate with photo, or Mirairo ID.
  • For minors only: health insurance eligibility certificate, maternal and child health handbook, or student ID.

The document must be an original with a photo, and it must be in date. If your family name changed after you registered, bring a document with your former name too. Under the terms, a ticket whose holder cannot be identified may be cancelled with no refund.

Check these before you leave for the park. Ready for the gate? Original passport, not a copy.
Check these before you leave for the park

The checklist above covers the four things to sort out before you leave your hotel. These are the usual reasons visitors get turned away:

  • You left the passport at the hotel or brought a photocopy.
  • The Passport ID on the booking has a wrong digit.
  • A name on the booking is spelled differently from the document.
  • You arrived with a suitcase or other wheeled luggage, which the PokéPark KANTO Area Rules (English) page bans.

Cancellations, changes and resale

You can cancel a paid ticket until 6:00 PM Japan time on the day before your visit. The PokéPark KANTO English ticket store legal notation promises a full refund before that deadline. The money goes back to the card or account you paid with. To cancel, log in to the store, pick the tickets and finish the steps.

The July notice says there is no cancellation or refund fee, starting from 1 August 2026. The English store adds one condition. Any fees or exchange-rate differences charged by your card company during the refund are yours to pay. Some refunds may come by bank transfer instead.

After the deadline, you cannot cancel, change or get a refund. The exceptions are a park closure and a sale that is invalid under the law. For those cases, you contact the store’s chatbot within six (6) months of the purchase date.

What you cannot change

A lottery application can be cancelled only while the window is open. After you buy, you cannot change the date, pass type, age category or entry time. To change anything, cancel before the deadline and apply or buy again.

Resale and transfers

Only the buyer and the registered companions can use the tickets. Buying, selling, transferring or swapping tickets for profit is banned. If the park confirms resale, it may cancel every ticket the people involved bought, not only the resold ones. Ticket codes from outside the official sales routes do not work, and the park refunds nothing in these cases.

Getting there and your day at PokéPark Kanto

PokéPark Kanto sits inside Yomiuriland, which straddles Inagi City in Tokyo and Tama Ward in Kawasaki City. The park covers about 2.6 hectares, according to the Yomiuri Land press release on PokéPark KANTO opening. It has three areas: PokéPark Entrance Plaza, Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town.

Yomiuriland Sky Shuttle gondola station with a blue cabin and an orange cabin at the platform

The photo shows the Sky Shuttle gondola, the route the park recommends. It runs from Keio-Yomiuri-Land Station and costs 300 yen one way or 500 yen return. From Yomiuri-Land-mae Station on the Odakyu line, take Odakyu Bus route Yomi 01 and get off at Yomiuriland. The bus costs 250 yen for adults and 100 yen for children, or 50 yen for children paying with an IC card.

The FAQ gives about 2 hours by public transport from Haneda Airport and about 2.5 hours from Narita Airport. Our airport transfer guides cover the first leg into the city. A Tokyo IC card works on the trains and buses.

  4. July 2026: sales start at 20:00 instead of 18:00. Opening hours move to 12:00 to 20:00 from July to September.
  5. 1 August 2026: the terms are revised. Cancellation becomes possible, and the August lottery allows 6 tickets per application.
  6. October 2026: sales start at 19:00, and the park opens 11:00 to 19:00.
  7. 1 November 2026: the 6-ticket limit and the identity check apply to admission.

If you are still choosing dates, the 2026 Japan holiday calendar and the 2027 Japan holiday calendar show the long weekends. Our guide to Tokyo month by month covers the weather, and Tokyo in November fits the first month of the new rules.

FAQ

Can I buy PokéPark Kanto tickets from overseas without a Japanese phone number?

Yes. People living outside Japan use the English store, which runs a lottery from the 1st to the 12th of each month. The Japanese site needs SMS verification with a mobile phone that works in Japan, so it is not an option for most visitors.

Can I change the name or passport number on a PokéPark Kanto ticket?

No. The English store says the registered Passport ID cannot be changed after you submit the application. On the Japanese site, visitor details are also fixed. The only fix is to cancel before 6:00 PM Japan time on the day before and apply again.

Does a PokéPark Kanto ticket include entry to Yomiuriland?

Yes. All three passes include entry to Yomiuriland, so you do not need a separate Yomiuriland ticket. Rides and other paid facilities in Yomiuriland need their own tickets, which you buy inside the park.

Can I bring a suitcase to PokéPark Kanto?

No. Suitcases, rolling luggage and carts are banned, and PokéPark Kanto has no luggage storage. Leave large bags in the Yomiuriland coin lockers before you go in.
