The 78th Shosoin Exhibition第78回正倉院展	Late October to early November: 24 October to 9 November in 2026	East and West Wings (Tozai Shinkan), Nara National Museum, Nara. Annual special exhibition of treasures from the Shosoin repository. The first exhibition was held in 1946 (Showa 21), and 2026 marks 80 years since then. Open every day during the exhibition, 8:00 to 18:00 (to 20:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays); last entry 60 minutes before closing. Admission is by date-and-time-designated ticket: general 2,000 yen, high school and university students 1,500 yen, elementary and junior high school students 500 yen. Uneme Matsuri at Sarusawa Pond采女祭	The night of the mid-autumn moon (Chushu no Meigetsu), usually in September and in October in some years; events start at 17:00	Sarusawa Pond and Sanjo-dori (from JR Nara Station to the pond), Nara. Uneme Shrine is an auxiliary shrine of Kasuga Taisha. The annual festival of Uneme Shrine. At 17:00 a Hanaogi offering procession goes along Sanjo-dori from the front of JR Nara Station to Sarusawa Pond; the shrine's festival is at 18:00; at 19:00 the flower fan (hanaogi) is placed on a boat with gagaku music, taken around the pond and finally floated on the water.
