Mobile PASMO: PASMO on iPhone and Android
PASMO on Apple Pay needs an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 14.0 (or an Apple Watch Series 3 or later running watchOS 7.0), a credit, debit or prepaid card in the Wallet app, an Apple Account signed in to iCloud, and the device region set to Japan. PASMO notes that cards supported by Apple Pay can be used to set up PASMO on Apple Pay, but some cards may not be recognized. PASMO and JR East say that when you start using Suica or PASMO, you can use Mobile Suica or Mobile PASMO, which you can start at any time on your own smartphone.

How do I top up Mobile PASMO?
You can top up PASMO in the Wallet app with a credit card set up in Wallet, up to 20,000 yen of stored value. This is not available between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. PASMO on Apple Pay can be topped up with cash at ticket machines, bus counters, bus IC fare machines, convenience stores and some other shops that support it. Credit cards set up in Apple Pay can be used in either the PASMO app or the Wallet app.
Can I move a plastic card to Mobile PASMO?

Can I get a refund on Mobile PASMO?
Mobile PASMO and PASMO on Apple Pay refund the remaining balance only when you withdraw from the service, and the refund fee is 210 yen (the whole balance if it is under 210 yen). You must be a registered member to get a balance refund.
What if I lose my phone with Mobile PASMO?
If a phone with PASMO on Apple Pay is lost, PASMO says to register the reissue from the member menu site or the support center, or to delete all cards set up in Apple Pay through Apple's iCloud support page, and then set up PASMO again with the PASMO app on the new device. PASMO says that if you lose your phone, the reissue fee for Mobile PASMO is free for members.
