PASMO PASSPORT: what happened to the visitor card
PASMO PASSPORT was a smart train ticket for short-term travelers to Japan, valid for 28 days. PASMO's notice on resuming blank Suica and PASMO card sales says PASMO PASSPORT, the IC card for visitors from overseas, has sold out because of its popularity. At launch, PASMO PASSPORT cost 2,000 yen: 1,500 yen to use plus a 500 yen issuance fee, with no deposit.

- TOURIST PASMO is a special IC card for international visitors. It is used for cashless public transportation and cashless shopping and is accepted across Japan.

- On April 17, 2026, PASMO announced that TOURIST PASMO would be available from May 2026 at train stations and other locations near airports with international flights.

- PASMO's TOURIST PASMO page says the card is available from two railway companies at Haneda Airport and Narita Airport.

- PASMO says TOURIST PASMO is only available to tourists from overseas on short-term visits, and the card has an expiration date.
