TOURIST PASMO: the PASMO card for visitors to Japan
TOURIST PASMO is a special IC card for international visitors. It is used for cashless public transportation and cashless shopping and is accepted across Japan. On April 17, 2026, PASMO announced that TOURIST PASMO would be available from May 2026 at train stations and other locations near airports with international flights. PASMO says TOURIST PASMO is only available to tourists from overseas on short-term visits, and the card has an expiration date.

- Haneda Terminal 1・2 Station
- At Haneda Airport Terminal 1・2 Station (Keikyu), TOURIST PASMO is sold at the ticket machines for travelers, one at the Terminal 1 gate and one at the Terminal 2 gate. Credit cards are accepted.
- Haneda Terminal 3 Station
- At Haneda Airport Terminal 3 Station (Keikyu), TOURIST PASMO is sold at the Keikyu Tourist Information Center on the 2nd floor Arrival Lobby next to the ticket gates, and at one ticket machine for travelers next to the center. Credit cards are accepted.
- Narita Terminal 1 Station
- At Narita Airport Terminal 1 Station (Keisei), TOURIST PASMO is sold at the SKYLINER & KEISEI INFORMATION CENTER.
- Narita Terminal 2 Station
- At Narita Airport Terminal 2 Station (Keisei), TOURIST PASMO is sold at the SKYLINER & KEISEI INFORMATION CENTER.

- Narita Airport sells TOURIST PASMO for 2,000 yen with 2,000 yen of value on it. Haneda Airport sells it for 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 or 10,000 yen, and the price you pay is the value on the card.

- There is no deposit for TOURIST PASMO.
- Top-ups
- You can top up TOURIST PASMO with cash at a station ticket machine, and also at convenience stores and some shops. It cannot be topped up if the balance would go above 20,000 yen.
- Top-ups
- On a bus, tell the driver you want to top up. You can add 1,000 yen at a time with 1,000-yen bills only, and you cannot top up if the balance would go above 10,001 yen.
- Maximum balance
- TOURIST PASMO cannot be topped up if the balance will exceed 20,000 yen.
Where you can use TOURIST PASMO
- Trains and buses
- To ride a train, touch TOURIST PASMO to the reader on the ticket gate. On a bus, touch it to the reader inside the bus to pay the fare.
- Shops
- TOURIST PASMO can be used for electronic payments at shops, so there is no need to count out coins.
- Other areas
- PASMO says TOURIST PASMO can be used on all trains and buses that accept IC cards for fare payment, and for cashless payments at participating stores.
- Watch out
- When you use TOURIST PASMO, carry your reference paper, which lists the expiration date, whether you are an adult or a child, the value on the card, and information on discount tickets sold by some railway operators.
Refunds, expiry and lost cards

- TOURIST PASMO is valid for 28 days from the date of purchase.
- Refund
- Value added to TOURIST PASMO is not refunded, even if you no longer need the card.
- If you lose it
- TOURIST PASMO cannot be reissued if it is lost.
Cards for children
- Child card valid until March 31 of the year they turn 12
- TOURIST PASMO for children can only be used up to March 31 of the year that the child turns 12.
