The Friday procession runs from Yanagi-dori via Umamichi-dori and Kaminarimon-dori to Kaminarimon, Nakamise and the shrine. Annual festival of Asakusa Shrine. On the 2027 schedule: a procession (Daigyoretsu) on the Friday; about 100 neighborhood mikoshi from 44 Asakusa districts carried out on the Saturday; and the three main-shrine mikoshi leaving the grounds at 7:00 on the Sunday and returning to the shrine around 19:00 to 20:00. Kanda Matsuri. 2026 was a scaled-down year (kage-matsuri): the procession (Shinko-sai) and the mikoshi entries to the shrine (Miyairi) were not held. In full-festival years the festival is in mid-May. In 2025 it ran from 8 to 15 May, with the procession on 10 May and mikoshi entries on 10 and 11 May.
