Yes. FamilyMart Japan lists Plus Pay (全盈+PAY), the Taiwanese payment app. Switch to the PayPay barcode in the app and show it to the cashier.
Taiwan's FamilyMart app works too once it is linked to Plus Pay, and the receipt says PayPay (checked 21 October 2026).
How to pay with Plus Pay at FamilyMart
- Open the barcode in the Plus Pay app, or in Taiwan's FamilyMart app linked to Plus Pay.
- Tap the top right of the barcode screen to switch to the PayPay barcode.
- Show it to the cashier. At a self-checkout, choose barcode payment.
The receipt shows the payment under the PayPay name. Plus Pay cannot be combined with e-money or a card on the same bill.
Using Taiwan's FamilyMart app
Taiwan's FamilyMart app (全家便利商店) pays here only through Plus Pay. Link Plus Pay inside the app before your trip, then pay from Plus Pay in the app.

What Plus Pay cannot pay for
App payments at FamilyMart cannot be used for bills, anything sold through the multi-copy machine, e-money top-ups or tickets. Ask the app, not the store, about a payment.
Taiwanese apps at FamilyMart
Plus Pay is the only Taiwanese app on FamilyMart's list, and the Alipay+ list has none from Taiwan.
