Torii-yaki Festival and Fireworks鳥居焼まつり花火大会5 August in 2026, the last night of the Ashinoko Summer Festival WeekLake Ashi, Hakone Bay (Hakone). The torii gate in the lake is lit after rites at Komagata Shrine. A fire is lit on a torii gate standing in the lake (torii lighting ceremony at 19:45), followed by about 3,500 fireworks from 20:00. Hakone Gora Daimonji-yaki箱根強羅温泉 大文字焼16 August in 2026 (the Obon send-off fire). Postponed to 17 August in bad weather.Around Gora Station, Hakone. The character 'Dai' is lit on the mountainside. A 'Dai' character whose horizontal stroke is 108 m long is lit on the mountainside at 19:30 as an Obon send-off fire, together with fireworks. The afternoon program includes children's festival music, a brass band performance, a lion dance, a beer garden and a memorial service.
