Travel Wallet says its card withdraws cash at VISA ATMs, and Seven Bank ATMs in 7-Eleven stores take Visa cards all day.

One withdrawal with a card issued abroad is up to 100,000 yen, or 30,000 yen by magnetic stripe. At the till, a card with the Visa mark is paid with the Credit Card icon, the same as a Visa debit or prepaid card (checked 17 October 2026).

7-Eleven's Japanese payment page lists brand debit and brand prepaid cards with credit cards. If your card has the Visa mark, choose the Credit Card icon and tap, insert or swipe.
