Can I withdraw cash at a Lawson ATM with a foreign card, and how much?
Yes, at a Lawson Bank ATM. It takes cards issued abroad with 7 marks, including Visa, Mastercard, JCB and UnionPay. One withdrawal is up to ¥50,000, in steps of ¥10,000, and the screen comes in 4 languages (Lawson Bank, as of March 2026). Some stores have no ATM for cards issued abroad.

Not every store. Lawson Bank notes that an ATM cannot be used while its store is closed. The ATMs also stop for fifteen minutes some time between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m.
