Opening of the Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road for the season白山白川郷ホワイトロード 全線開通Early June (12 June in 2026); the toll section stays open until early NovemberHakusan Shirakawa-go White Road, between Umakari toll gate (Gifu side) and Nakamiya toll gate (Ishikawa side). The toll section of the road linking Shirakawa Village in Gifu and Hakusan City in Ishikawa opens for the season after the winter closure. A safety prayer and opening ceremony is held at 9:00 at the two toll gates and the road opens at 10:00.
