Nagasaki tram 1-day pass (電車一日乗車券): price and what it covers

Price

The one-day pass is valid only on the day of use; the 24-hour pass is valid for 24 hours from the start of use.

Adults are junior high school students and older; children are elementary school pupils.

What the pass covers

• All Nagasaki Electric Tramway streetcar lines.

Where to buy it

• Paper passes are sold at tourist information centers, hotel front desks along the line and company offices; they are not sold on the streetcars.
• Mobile passes are bought in a smartphone app; buy before you board.

Seats and using the pass

• Paper pass: show the date part to the driver when you get off. Each person needs their own pass.
• Mobile pass: show the ticket screen to the crew when you get off; with the Pass Case app, tap the same card or iPhone on the reader when you get on and off.

Refunds

A paper pass bought by mistake can be refunded at a company office up to the day before use, with a 50-yen fee per ticket.

Good to know

• A single ride costs a flat 150 yen for adults and 80 yen for children.
• On the third Sunday of every month, children of elementary school age and younger ride free.
• The Pass Case app does not sell child passes.
• Some shops give offers when you show the pass.
