JR KYUSHU MOBILE PASS: price, days and what it covers

Price

Valid for 2 consecutive days.

Children aged 6 to 11 pay half the adult price.

What the pass covers

• Local trains and non-reserved seats on limited express trains in the Fukuoka Wide Area around Fukuoka, including Mojiko.
• Limited express sections inside the area: Sonic Hakata–Kokura–Yukuhashi; Relay Kamome, Midori, Huis Ten Bosch and Kasasagi Hakata–Tosu; Yufu Hakata–Kurume.

Not covered

• The Sanyo Shinkansen (Hakata–Kokura) and the Kyushu Shinkansen (Hakata–Kurume).
• Green Cars, DX Green and private rooms.
• JR Kyushu buses, B&S Miyazaki buses, the Seven Stars and the Aru Ressha.

Who can buy it

Non-Japanese visitors with a passport from another country who live outside Japan and enter on a temporary visitor visa.

Seats and using the pass

Seats

Non-reserved seats only; for a reserved seat, buy a fare ticket and a reserved seat express ticket before boarding.

• Press Activate on the ticket page to start the pass.
• Show the pass screen to staff at a manned ticket gate; it does not work at automatic gates.
• Keep your phone online; screenshots are not accepted.

Refunds

Refunds only before you press Activate, with a 440 yen fee per ticket.

Good to know

• One smartphone can buy tickets for up to four people, but a child ticket cannot be bought alone.
• Show your passport when you board; it must have the Temporary Visitor stamp or seal.
