外務省：査証免除の一覧上陸許可の際に付与される在留期間は、インドネシア及びタイは「15日」、ブルネイ及びカタールは「30日」、その他の国・地域については「90日」となります。

働く・学ぶ・長く滞在する
ビザなしで入れるのは短期の滞在だけです。
報酬を受ける仕事は短期滞在に入りません。報酬を受けて働くときや90日を超えて滞在するときはビザが要ります。外務省は、原則として先に出入国在留管理庁から在留資格認定証明書を取るように案内しています。
英国とは2国間の取り決めで、6か月まで滞在できます。90日を超えて滞在するときは、許された期間が終わる前に日本の地方出入国在留管理官署で延長を申請します。

ビザの申請は、国籍だけでなく住んでいる所でも決まります。

英国に住んでいてビザが要る人は、JAPAN eVISAのサイトからオンラインで申請できます。eVISAは観光用の一次ビザで、滞在は90日までです。
