工作、留学或长期停留

免签入境只限短期停留。

有报酬的工作不属于短期停留。要领薪工作，或停留超过90天，就需要签证。日本外务省说明，原则上要先向日本出入国在留管理厅取得在留资格认定证明书。

依照与英国的双边协议，最长可停留6个月。停留超过90天时，要在许可期间结束前，到日本的地方出入国在留管理局申请延长。

目前还不需要。JESTA是日本正在为免签旅客建立的电子旅行授权。日本出入国在留管理厅只公布开始日期为「2029年3月31日以前，由政令规定的日期」。

签证申请不只看国籍，也看你住在哪里。

可以向自己国家，或目前居住国家的日本大使馆或总领事馆申请。在只是旅行经过的第三国不能申请。

住在英国、需要签证的人，可以在JAPAN eVISA网站在线申请。eVISA是观光用的单次签证，最长停留90天。
