工作、留學或長期停留

免簽入境只限短期停留。

有報酬的工作不屬於短期停留。要領薪工作，或停留超過90天，就需要簽證。日本外務省說明，原則上要先向日本出入國在留管理廳取得在留資格認定證明書。

在日本的機場

所有外國旅客的步驟都一樣。

抵達後填寫外國人入境記錄（用Visit Japan Web線上填寫，或用紙本），並提供指紋和臉部照片。能不能上陸由入境審查官決定。

JESTA（日本的電子旅行授權）

目前還不需要。JESTA是日本正在為免簽旅客建立的電子旅行授權。日本出入國在留管理廳只公布開始日期為「2029年3月31日以前，由政令訂定的日期」。

簽證申請不只看國籍，也看你住在哪裡。

可以向自己國家，或目前居住國家的日本大使館或總領事館申請。在只是旅行經過的第三國不能申請。

住在澳門、需要簽證的人，JAPAN eVISA要透過認可的代辦旅行社申請。這是觀光用的單次簽證，最長停留90天。
