5個步驟
- 步驟1
- 準備文件。如果日本有人邀請你或擔任保證人，對方的文件要寄給你，不是寄給大使館。
- 步驟2
- 向負責你居住地的日本大使館或總領事館、認可的代辦旅行社、日本簽證申請中心或線上申請，依該使領館的指定為準。
- 步驟3
- 等候審查。標準是受理申請的隔天起算5個工作天。如果案件要轉回東京的外務省本部確認，可能超過1個月。
- 步驟4
- 領取結果。只有核發簽證時才要付手續費。
- 步驟5
- 3個月內入境日本。單次簽證的效期是3個月，可入境1次。

申請不被受理的情況
- 在出生國或居住國以外的地方申請。

日本簽證可以線上申請嗎？
只限觀光用的單次簽證，而且你要住在可以使用JAPAN eVISA的國家或地區。其他目的要用紙本申請。
可以在旅行中的國家申請日本簽證嗎？
不行。要向自己的國家（地區）或居住國（地區）的日本大使館或總領事館申請，也就是說，不能在旅行目的地申請。
日本有落地簽證嗎？
不行。日本外務省表示，在日本的機場和港口不能取得簽證。請在出發前申請。
VFS有受理日本簽證嗎？
部分國家有。阿拉伯聯合大公國、菲律賓、印度、尼泊爾、蒙古、巴基斯坦、孟加拉的日本使領館在簽證網頁上指定VFS。其他地方由使領館自己的窗口、認可的代辦旅行社或簽證申請中心受理。
被拒之後多久可以再申請？
以同樣的目的，被拒後6個月內不能再申請。
