PASMOは交通と買い物のICカードです。電車とバスの運賃や、加盟店でのキャッシュレスの支払いに使えます。止まっていた無記名のPASMOの販売は2025年3月1日に再開しました。PASMOの決まりでは、PASMOの値段はデポジット500円を含む1,000円です。会社によっては20,000円まで1,000円きざみのほかの値段で売ります。

- PASMOは参加している交通会社の券売機か、駅の定期券うりばで買えます。買い方は会社ごとに違い、クレジットカードは使えません。

- 電車とバス
- 電車では、改札の読み取り部にPASMOをタッチします。バスでは、車内の読み取り部にタッチして運賃を払います。
- お店
- PASMOは電子マネーの支払いに使えるので、小銭を数える必要がありません。
- 主な地域
- PASMOは、改札やバスの運賃箱にタッチして、首都圏の全体と、全国の参加している鉄道とバスで使えます。日本の全部の電車とバスで使えるわけではありません。
- ほかの地域
- PASMOとSuicaのエリアでは、Kitaca・ICOCA・PiTaPa・TOICA・manaca・はやかけん・nimoca・SUGOCAを含む10種類のカードが使えます。一部の路線では使えません。関東鉄道と千葉都市モノレールではPASMOとSuicaしか使えず、PiTaPaは全国の電子マネーに対応していません。
- 気をつけること
- PASMOで、あるICカードのエリアから別のエリアへまたがって乗ることはできません。そのときは先にきっぷを買います。

- ICカードの払い戻しは、そのカードを出した会社が自分の駅か窓口で受け付けます。ほかのエリアではできません。
払い戻し・有効期限・なくしたとき
- 有効期限
- PASMOは、最後に交換・利用・チャージした日の翌日から数えて10年それがないと無効になります。

- 東京メトロによると、PASMOに有効期間はありませんが、10年使わないカードは無効になります。

- 要らなくなったPASMOは、カードを返すと払い戻しできます。残高だけを払い戻すことはできず、500円のデポジットも一緒に戻ります。

- PASMOの決まりでは、残高の払い戻しには1枚220円の手数料がかかり（残高が220円より少ないときは残高の全部が手数料）、デポジットも一緒に戻ります。

- 駅とバスの窓口によってはPASMOを払い戻せません。無記名以外のPASMOは運転免許証などの公的な身分証を見せます。
- 記名式
- 無記名のPASMOは誰でも使えますが、なくすと再発行できません。記名式のPASMOは名前のある本人だけが使えて、なくしたら再発行できます。買うときに名前・性別・生年月日・電話番号を登録します。

- なくした記名式のPASMOと定期券は再発行できます。近くの駅かバスの営業所へ行きます。

- PASMOの決まりでは、なくした記名式のPASMOの再発行には、再発行の手数料520円とデポジット500円を現金で払います。
こども用のカード
- こどもの運賃・12歳になる年の3月31日まで
- こども用のPASMOでは、こどもの運賃で乗れます。買うときは年齢を確かめられる公的な身分証を見せ、こどもが12歳になる年の3月31日まで使えます。
